[fc3s s5t2]fuel management ?

Hi, so i got the Rtek1.5 and an unrestricted exhaust.
from other topics, i believe that with a stock ecu, you can't run over 9psi (0.6bar).
after some tests it appears that i don't go over roughly 0.75 bar which must be around 11 psi i believe. but it's for a short while, if i keep hammering the pressure slowly decreases. So i don't think it's that dramatic.

but anyway, i'm going to get a bosch 40 fuel pump this week.

do you think i have any risk (once i get the pump) or should it be ok ? if it, can i even run more boost ?

The Rtek chip removes fuel cut, which would normally be at 8.6psi. If your fuel system is stock, spiking to 11 psi is very very dangerous, and will end up blowing your engine. You need to port the wastegate if you're getting that high: http://fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/KWG/kwg.html

After upgrading the fuel pump, you should be ok to run that 11 psi on a stock turbo, but every situation is a little different. Only a wideband 02 sensor will be able to tell you for sure if the mixture is rich enough under boost. FYI, the stock turbo isn't going to make 11 psi very far into the RPM range. By ~5k it will start falling off as it sounds you've noticed.

ok so if i understand you well, once i replace the fuel pump (bosch 40 should do it ?) i should be able (theoritically) to run the car with no risks ?

as my o2 sensor as never been changed i was considering taking a wideband anyway... from your advice i believe it will be next month upgrade

Yes, from what I've seen the stock fuel pump is the weakest link. The secondary injector staging point is also too high, but your Rtek chip will help that some by lowering staging. 4x 550cc injectors will be at their max, but they should be enough to get the job done.

That's not a commonly used fuel pump, but it could probably work. Supposedly it will flow about 235 LPH @ 13.5V, which is similar to a walbro 255. Mounting it will require some creativity since it is not the same style as the OEM denso pump. You may however run into the same issue that walbro pumps create, which is too much fuel volume at low pressures, which forces fuel pressure to increase at idle/low throttle (excessively rich).

For a car using the stock turbo, an OEM 3rd gen RX7 (FD) fuel pump is perfect. It's good to about 300 whp depending on pressure, and you can find them used for cheap.

That might be a direct replacement for an FD fuel pump, but it lists 2nd gen turbo and NA cars too. 60 GPH = 227 LPH, which is a sign it's what you're looking for, but it's not entirely clear. Maybe try another vendor.
