WEll guys it seems my 91 coupe really was a total loss. SO im looking for a vert shell or one with a blown motor. Ill basiclaly take anything at this point as long as its not rusted through. PM me or email me at bklynrx7@aol.com

I already have a coupe shell but I have plans for it and feel if i make it my daily driver those plans will never come into reality.

Ive rethought things and came to my senses and no longer need another shell. but thanks for the offer.

Yo tommy i think you have too many projects. Why dont we just ge the GTU to ure house and drop in ure 91 coupes engine and stuff and we strip the coupe and sell it. Then we can test the cosmo and fix her up before throw her in another shell or something. What u think kid?

Hey Tommy,

We miss having you in a RX man. I am definately down to getting that NA motor into the GTU so that you can have a car to bring to the meets and drive around in as a every day driver while you look into the RE motor.

I am on vacation starting July 1st through the 15th of July. If at any time u guys need my help in regards to anything, please gimme a buzz and I will be more than happy to assist.

Why don't you clear a day when you are off and see if you can get anyone else to come over and we can all work on your car together and I am sure that we can definately get it together.

You know whatt, ima tell you what u gonna do. We gonna take that cosmo out the car, gut that **** and dump it. Then we gonna bring the GTU to ure cribs and throw in everything of ure 91 in it. There both series 5, and its simple. WE just gotta take out the blcok from the gtu (Which is ****, and ima kee) THen we can put up the Engine and entire drivetrain and do the paperwork adn get u a ******* RX-7.

Well do the cosmo later its a money pitt , so might as well have a 7 for now till u can work out all the specs of the cosmo project.

Well the motor in the 91 feels like crap, i dunno if its the fuel filter, or something major but its feels dead all around the last 3 times is drove it and starts bucking and backfiring hard after 5k.

I figure what the point of swapping a 184000 mile dying motor? so im going to a shop today with Trini to get a price on wiring up the RE in the gtu. I could use your guys help removing and swapping the driveline. Ill give you a call later.

uhh get a stand alone and a open wire loom then we can cut splice and make connectors out of the old harness to make it fit
takes about 1 week to figure things out

thinking of getting a RE also... and try to port it myself... scary but will try.. just need template and .. time with a steady hand (coffee... a lot of coffee...) and do they sell aftermarket exhaust manifold for the re? or the 13bt aftermarket ones works just fine?

i wanna see ur cosmo in ur gtu man... im there if u need my help.

^^ im 99% sure the manifolds they sell for the 13bt will fit since the mounts make the motor sit in practically the same place. THey fit the block without question its just the space withing the bay im not sure about.

I wanna go standalone but I dont have the cash at the moment and I need a car again. So im gonna transplant the motor/drivetrain and take it to Smokin Joes to get it running with the TII wiring.

I got lucky enough to get saturday off this week so ill be pulling everything out on saturday and sunday.

Oh and Ray, Jason(Trini) is lending me an engine hoist. Now im glad we didnt kill ourselves tryna lift it out with chain/pipe.
