I STARTED the 3 clubs because tri-7 was dead. Took me a while to build it up.
We will be expanding to NH by next year and most likely PA as well. I rather grow slowly and steady, thats why i have decided to keep it more local our tristate (NY, NJ and CT)
We have way more than 18 members in the three states. Lots of them dont send me their info so i can post it online in teh online registries, but if they did i would say we have about 120members.
To join our club all you have to do for NY is attend 2 meets. For CTRA one meet or meet up locally and same for New Jersey and the membership cost is $0, so technically free.
We began with 7s but i have worked hard to promote on teh 8 board to get more RX-8's and the meets this year have had a lot of RX-8's so im happy.
I know we talked before with Chrism in the chats about working together, hopefully one day we could.
Our club meets are about meeting rotary ppl in your area, BBQing , eating food, finding people to chill with.
I see your club is more about events, car shows, dynos, wrenching.
The only thing we might have in common would be the wrenching/tech sessions. The rx7 crowd is a lot different than the RX8 crowd.
But our clubs have the same intention to bring RX7 and RX8 people together.

Sorry to bust your bubble/rain on your party, miss. But i think tristaterotary w/e it's called is pretty much a ghost town. A majority of the north east rotor heads will stick witht he bigger and more active clubs like Jason's...

shinka's tri-state is a more southern tri-state.....she is more the nj, de. pa area so its not exactly the one we are used to.....we are more the nj. ny, ct area....personally if we can get these groups together at meets they can be huge and offer a much more diverse crowd.....not to mention it gets to be a much deeper and more expanded territory

Welcome to 2006.
well for one thing i dont know whats on tuesday nights, second its probably becuse i have school that gets out at 930, and because i always seem to miss the info...by the way do you no a guy named ray with a white fc?

we really just actually started to organize on paper...the last couple of weeks...
AND....there arent that many 8s....7s totally outnumber 8s in manufacturing alone..
difficulty is we are really spread out geographically...
where as you have a larger pop in a smaller area...
i would say that 18 members isnt bad at all for just starting...
i would like to see you do better...
