So I was cruising around and happened to pass a scrapyard.

I moseyed into the office and asked for a price list. (I'm used to scrapyards having a price list. $175 for an engine, any engine... $75 for a transmission, any transmission... etc.)

They don't have a price list like that, it's by car type.
I ask if they've got any RX-7's. They have a first gen. I spot it and it's a GSL..

I go back to the office and ask, How much for the, engine, rear end, and driveshaft...
$700



Rear axle alone was $350.



Are there any decent scrapyards in Virginia?

 

Was that at American Auto Salvage? They're the biggest ******* ripoff's there.

I always go to AAACO further down the route by Davis. They have decnt prices.
