Over priced Kijiji Crap
I'm just gotta put it out there, Whats with all the Kijiji part-outs asking insanely high prices for FC RX7 parts on scrapyard bound cars.
Asking crazy prices like $500 for interior bits and what not.
:O

Sellers not understanding concept of supply and demand. They pull out an arbitrary price in their head and are obsessed with getting what they think it's "worth". The way I see it is something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.
I see certain used exhaust systems that constantly have their ads bumped to the top without any reduction in price to encourage a sale. They just bump and bump and bump until the end of time. There's a lot of stupid sellers out there who probably have a huge garage to house their crap while their cars sit outside in the rain.

There's a difference in what you can get for it,what it's worth and what it is worth to you.
ME?..I don't care!.If I can't use it,I want it gone.
I sell for a decent price and I'm happy that it's gone and the buyers are happy they got it for a good price.
I don't sell crap and if it's crap I keep it or chuck it.I'm not gonna rip a couple dollars off someone because I need **** gone.,If it's **** it's crap..and it's not worth it to lose any credibility over selling crap.
I mostly deal parts here because Kijiji is just Moronic.
I had one guy want me to drive a car I was selling to his house to see it..WTF?
BUT I will buy off Kijiji if the price is decent and I get a "good vibe" in the Reply.
(just scored some new seats!..Yay!)

I also notice quite a bit of forum members posting in Kijiji rather than posting here at all.
I just bought a front FD R1 strut bar and an FC from well known members on this forum off of Kijiji and there was no ad here. Maybe they don't want people here to know the price they got? For me, not being able to delete ads of old items i've sold years ago as a deterrent for me to post for sale ads here. I've had people ask me years later about things I've sold like, "Hey I noticed you sold some Miata rims, can you give me any advice on what to look for when searching for a Miata?" or "I noticed that you sold your car for X amount of dollars in 2005 and then re-bought it, and then asking for X amount of dollars in 2008, why?...can you give me an insight on how these cars depreciate?"
Kijiji....you list, delete, record is gone, no hassle, no questions.

No offence, but Kijiji is a Internet Selling website, where as this Forum is a Car enthusiasts Forum.
So as a Car Forum,it has a Section where guys can buy, sell, trade in between other enthusiasts.
The For Sale sections were created as a Bonus, not as a main stay.
The whole basis of the Forum is to bring Guys together talking about their cars..not to hop on and sell stuff.
The Forum doesn't delete ads because it assures the buyer that there is a record of a transaction.
Try to get that on Kijiji if you get Rooked.
I just wanted to get that out of the way hopefully without coming off as a smart ***.
I look at Kijiji and the Club in 2 different lights..and they are not similar at all. They each have their faults.
But at the end of the day,I don't care about the parts I sell(they are good parts I just don't need them!),.I care about the parts being useful to the guys I sell to.I also care about the person being satisfied he got working parts without hassle too.
I meet a lot of guys through this Forum so I choose to deal on here.
Kijiji..??...maybe to buy a snowblower...Winter's comin up!

There's also the old adage "Your first offer is likely going to be your best offer". (lowballing excluded)
Sellers are often obsessed with getting their asking price that they fail to recognize their first offer is from a serious committed buyer who has been searching daily. And then when lower offers come later, the seller refuses them because he's had better ones. Time goes by and nothing is sold. Some people just aren't serious sellers, they have no real intention of getting rid of their stuff.
