the Sunoco on 130 right over the Burlinton/Bristol bridge was sold Now I can't
find one close that even sells 94 !! Dammm it!
I would cross the bridge just to get no oxigenated fuel and 94 octane cheaper than PA !
Now what are we going to do ?
Ther is one at the corner of Bath rd and route 13
just north of the B/B bridge on the PA side.
I'll check and see if it's sold there and let ya know.

I doubt its an enviro thing so much as not many people (other than highly boosted rotary turbo powered car owners) were shelling out the extra cheeze for 1 point more octane. They probably figured it made more sense to just sell the 93 everyone else sells, as it wasn't enough of a differentiating factor.
The reality is, it's probably true. They'd be smarter to sell the GT 100 unleaded they sell at the track for 6 bucks a gallon at some stations than try to sell what amounts to not much different product (94) at a significant price increase... 94 isn't really going to do that much for you, but 100 will.

I like that idea...I wish more places would do something like that...but it will never happen

I can still get 93 for like 2.29 over here.

My station locally just lost the 94. Thanks goodness my water/meth injection is right around the corner......
There is still some stations that have not been retro-fitted. It is pure BS because now I have no reason to go there. I have talked to a few station owners around my area and they are just as mad.

I understand what you mean. Although 90% of the time i go to the gas station with the FD is from the same gas station that has a nozzle for each octane.
And when i say fill up 93 or 10 bucks 93 etc, im make sure im STARING at which one he puts.
Although i did hear a while back that the octane that was sold in some gas stations werent the real octane being put into cars. Example, 93 was really 92 or 91, 89 was like 87 etc etc. Thanks something to be scared about cause for all we know, we been paying countless dollars for x amount of years for 93 and it probably wasnt even 93.
I just blew a motor due to bad gas....the shell v power is actually rated lower than its avtual octane rating. Sunoco stopped seling 94 in NY because if the new mtbe rules...'

I've been working at a sunoco station for over 4 years and we just dropped it about 2 months ago. They made 93 the highest and added 91 to the list. We hardly ever sold any 94 so I'm sure it was mostly a profit driven decision to drop it. heres an interesting fact some of you might not know about sunoco (possibly other brands as well) even though there are 4 grades of gas you can buy (87, 89, 91, and 93 at sunoco) there are only 2 tanks in the ground, one has 87 and the other has 93, the 89 and 91 are made simply by mixing the 87 and 93, so you really have no idea what you're getting. Even if the guy pushes the 93 button there could still be several gallons on 87 in the lines from the guy before you that you're getting. Also, the tanker driver has told me on several occasions that the depo down in perth amboy he goes to to fill up his tanker is less than accurate, so its not uncommon to get "tainted" gas. Just food for thought for you guys, working at that gas station I've seen some crazy **** go down....
