Is there anyone else even considering? If not, I may need to plan accordingly. I'll need a tune in a couple weeks.

so far I have four deposits, and another two people interested. But people are flakes sometimes. I'd like to get a solid six deposits to make it worth Steves time.

I wanted to make sure everyone is aware that This is a tuning session. I don't want to end up being a repair/tuning session.

If I had to spend more than 2 hrs on your car, I'll have to charge $100/hr extra after two hrs.

I'am very interested..
but somethings i have to consider

i have a 10ae turbo ii
stock turbos and injectors (might upgrade to 1600 secondaries)
rebuilt 13BT with street port and atkins rebuild kit with 3mm seals
i just got the haltech e6k installed, and its running on a hitman base map

it runs like ***, rich and alot of hesitation when i am going at low speeds, I dont even try to boost it and i try to drive it in the 2-3k range if i have to drive it...

i dont really feel safe driving 4 hours to DE (im from VA) with this setup, it possible I could but thinking of towing it up there, but I'm not sure if it's worth towing it...

all comments and suggestions welcome

thanks,

Greg

Steve,

You tuned my car awhile back with Bacon's car. I was the red FD, GTC kit, GT3540. I was wondering if you could slap on your wideband and do a quick check on my AFR's .. being that I tuned on Ultra 94, which is no longer available.

Shoot me a PM if you can. I'm willing to come down the day before the session, or the day after ... if you are available.

Thanks
Jehan

Greg,
Might be a better question for the Haltec forum or the 2nd gen section. Unless you have a wideband or any tuning knowledge I wouldn't mess around with the maps too much.

chances are, you'll most likely need the entire map retune since the E85 and/or any gas that uses ethanol addative will cause the engine to run around 10% leaner.

If all you want is just a wide band pull, the dyno place will have it available.

Greg,
What do you mean by tune your profec b? He can set your boost with it and should be able to mess around with the gain a little if thats what you mean.

alright guys, here is my problem...

i got a buddy who can put my car on a flat bed and tow it to car V2..
but he can only do that on the 25th and leave the car at V2.

I just need to find a ride up to DE from VA (Virginia Beach) on the 26th

or I could just drive it up there, using the stock base map... and save everyone time and money...

decisions, decisions...

I would go for the drive as long as it's driveable. I've driven from DE to IL without a tune, but the car was driveable.

The date is still the same as well as the location.

So far I have deposits from:
AMRAAM4 ($100)
JLee ($100
FDkid ($100)
Brians FC ($100)
93VRRex ($100)

So we have enough people for Steve to come out, but to make it worth his while we could use at least two more cars. If I get more then two more cars then we'll be looking at two days for tuning.

I don't understand your question? The total cost for tuning alone is $350 including a $100 deposit. Dyno time is $125 per hour, and it shouldn't take more then an hour on the dyno.
