----Steve Kan tuning Aug. 26 DE----

Well it's pretty much official but I need five deposits to make it official, Steve will 99 percent be here on August 26th for another tuning session. Tuning will begin at approx. 10 A.M. and run until everyone is complete, unless I get enough people for two days (7 or more). Steve will be tuning at Car V2 in Wilmington Delaware. Anyone worried about running lean with the new Ethanol fuel should consider a re-tune as well. So here are the numbers everyone wants to know.

Steve kan tune
Deposit w/paypal: $105
Deposit w/check: $100
total Tuning price: $350 - $100 deposit = $250 day of

paypal - eplondon3@netscape.net

Car V2 dyno pricing
hourly: $125
Most cars only take an hour, and even if you run over they're not too strict about it. The time starts when Steve starts tuning.

Cash is preferable for dyno time and day of payments. Dyno tuning is not required, but is recommended. Compared to street tuning, dyno tuning offers safety, ease of diagnostics and you get to see what kind of numbers your car is actually making!

A few things you should consider doing before coming to the tuning session
-Oil change
-Coolant flush
---Replace spark plugs--- (A must)
-Fix all fluid leaks
-tranny and diff oil change

Also, please remember Steve is here to tune not fix your problems. He can fix minor stuff but we don't want to spend two hours trying to diagnose a problem. *cough cough* Martin...

Okay so far I have one deposit and I have plenty of spaces open....But I also have a decent amount of interest, so spaces can fill up quickly. Please get them in to ensure your spot.
-AMRAAM4 $100

Any questions don't hesitate to ask.
-Dan

two deposits, 93RVrex just sent a deposit.

another thing I forgot for pre-checks....

-Compression test!!!

Steve can tune pretty much any ECU BTW, and please specify which ECU you have and your mods with your deposit. If you're unsure please ask.

first, think CarV2 could weld a Borla into a midpipe and install? I would have this done prior to tune. I am looking for places I would trust that aren't far away or take a long time to get an appointment.

Mods:
new reman with new internals/housings, engine harness, streetported
PowerFC
manual boost controller (can't remember name, it's under the hood and looks like a pink valve cylinder thingy)
PT67 single turbo
Greddy 3-row
new 550's and 1600's, Supra FP
Racing Beat single tip catback
Gotham High Flow cat, but hopefully a resonated midpipe by then

Ray at PFS welded a borla in for me. IIRC, it was about three hours labor.

I called Ray and scheduled an appointment for the following week. In fact I drove the car in and picked it up four hours later. I scheduled it for first thing in the morning and I showed up when he opened shop. I stressed the importance of not being there all day (almost a two hour drive for me) and he was very accomodating...

hahahahaha, you've got to be kidding me! thats like the cost of a new midpipe with one already welded in. Bob bring your car up to the local midas muffler shop...they do very good work at the one by me and it will be much much cheaper.

twinr1,
Well the thing is you have to schedule these events a little in advance so people have time to prepare, sorry you will not be able to make it.

Jason,
The idle problem shouldn't be a problem. Don't worry to much about it.

fourty,
I would give Steve a call and talk to him about that personally. If you need Gotham Racings number I can give it to you.

Buzzer,
So far I have two deposits but more then five people interested. If you want to be tuned please don't wait to put a deposit in.

Oh man I know... Back when I could get a hold of him he gave me some great pointers as to acheiving my goals with my car... I just wish I hadn't taken so long to get all my parts so I could have been tunned before his rush...

Ernie, he does do very good work but is the wait time worth it? Some people can wait...and som people can wait a while....but at some point it gets rediculous. I know some people are in a situation with Ray right now....but that isn't meant for this thread.

I can take on side work if anyone can't wait for Ray if anyones interested

BTW,
We now have 3 deposits. Only two more needed to make it official.

Doesn't seem that way. People can just be lazy. If we don't get enough for this date we can push it back a few weeks, or I can refund everyones money.
