So... whats the deal with "RotorFest 2008" (or w/e you're going to call it)
Hey guys.
Don’t know if the “Commission” has met to nail down the particulars (date, location, etc.) yet . . . as a fellow Rotorhead from the Great White North, I would like to make a suggestion for the date.
Since there will be a Pinks™ All Out shoot at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown on Saturday July 26th , why not have the met on Sunday July 27 th. It would be a great weekend . . the ***** Out Race Team kicks some V8 *** on Saturday . . . . and gloat about it all day Sunday at the RotorFest.
Anyway . . just a suggestion. Lots of Club RX Quebec members up here patiently waiting for the white **** to melt and looking forward to the 7-8 hour drive down for the meet.

Just a note to the “Commission” members. Don’t make the same mistake the “other commission” made back on November 14, 1957. Don’t meet in a New York State farm house with suspicious state troopers around.
If the FBI raids the meeting . . . . we will no longer deny that the “Commission” exists.

but its rotorfest only clubs you could get in it is other doritos, no way im sharing this sacred day with another type of car.....perhaps if we could get some sponsors, then it would be cheaper
jason let me know when you doing it bro!.......but if its saturday i cant....you know jeff with the scion tc that rolls with me?.....well im taking him to the dealer to get an 8
Throwing my 2 cents in but we have a speed shop here in Maryland with enuff room for the meet, and a dyno.Just no track but capital raceway Its about 5 minutes away from it.Oh the owner of the shop now works for Pinks all out Brian Bossone.Instead of the Maryland bbq, have the rotorfest here in maryland and then people from south carolina and Northcarolina want have to drive for 2 days.
just a suggestion

I liked the NJ area last year; there's no way I want to risk my car breaking down in a 6 hour drive to Maryland.
As you all remember, most people weren't upset about the price for the event itself, but the sudden change in price. I think many if not most rotary owners would be more than happy to shell out the extra cash for event that is actually worth it. Englishtown seems feasible to me...

I had a great time down at the Maryland BBQ last year and looking forward to the next one!
I don't mind the drive. It only took me around 3 hours to get down to Maryland and it takes me 2 hours to get to Island.
What about the tracks in PA and Maryland? There's also Atco, they might let us hold it.
I don't mind the drive and paying money for a decent event. There is also some nice parks in the area also..

i still think that if we call up like ngk, mazdaspeed, some local dealers, some private shops and what not we could bring the price down...it would be great advertising for them, i no for a fact that a bunch of you have contacts and know people that would do stuff like that.

From where the car show/parking is you can see cars going down the quarter mile so you don't have to split the group up like Island. It's close to everyone so the Maryland guys etc can come out.
And once and for all, you and I get line up!!!

my opinion, e-town is to big and unpersonal, rotorfest is a big event, and i think i can trust just about everyone who attends, but i like what i saw at maryland's bbq, loudazz know how to have a car show, and the dyno is a plus, when tristate had there meet in Pa. with the dyno, it was a great meet,to see 7&8 on the dyno, we saw which one was the big brother of the two lol, i also like the fact that i was able to run the 1/4mi at island, the next rotorfest needs good cheap food, cheap amission, activities, and give aways, dyno and track is a plus, but needs to be personal like island was!
i think e-town is the way to go it splits north and south guys down the middle we also gotta think about the connecticut and massachusetts guys.
there is also ATCO RACEWAY they are not as fancy as etown and its probably less expensive, but like jasons said most of these rx7s can`t travel a along way,i would`nt wanna drive my rx7 more than 100miles away from home
