VA Short notice- Coffee/drive in Bristow 01/03

The miata guys have met up a couple times now for Coffee followed by a drive... Our next one is tomorrow morning at the Caribou Coffee in Bristow, VA...
http://www.cariboucoffee.com/asp/loc...p&recordId=813

Be advised that most GPSes will not find the exact spot so also use the map. It is in a strip mall with some shops and a grocery store.
Please show up around 9am, so that everybody can have their coffee/muffins and stuff, and we can head out for our drive around 10-10:15...

We officially have TWO routes to choose from!!

I've scouted down 619 to Route 1, south a few miles, and then back North, following the outskirts of Quantico back into the Nokesville area, then up a couple more of my "favorites" to Manassas... This route is approx. 75 miles...

OR,

Timothy Metzinger has a pretty awesome route that takes us North and west up next to the Potomac River!!! If I remember right, I believe this route is also around 75 miles give or take...

I will have my laptop with me at Caribou in the morning, and we can discuss which route is everybody wants to prefers to take.

Would it be frowned upon to bring a loud 2nd gen to this? I've got my GTUs out right now, and it's LOUD. I have a quiter T2 I could bring if thats better. or I'll put my silencers in if I have the time.
Is this the Caribou at 28 and Linton Hall rd?
I'll be cruising out with Pele.

We don't need to move anything. If you would like to hold a "coffee/drive" event near you, feel free!! Plan a route, and find someplace with a big parking lot that has good coffee!!!

If you plan it, they will come!!!!

I came into a 15 MPH Left 90 deg turn a little too hot. There was also sand on the road.

Going straight would mean a ditch, Cutting too hard would mean eating a guy's mailbox.

I did not end up in the ditch and the mailbox is safe thankfully.

Unlike the last autocross I was at, I did not understeer... The FC actually oversteered like I wanted it to do. I just over corrected and it oversteered in the opposite direction.

I need to kill the power steering so that I can get the wheel to return to center on its own.

Slowly, I'm turning the FC into my old FB again.

Columbia is an hour away. That's why I quit going to the Fudds meets.

lol, I was mainly kidding. I already organize the fuddruckers meets up here.

going down there will give me a reason to go and hang out with some of the Virginia guys that I never get to see. Hopefully my FC will be in one piece when the next one rolls around or you guys will have to deal with one of my less awesome cars

Yeah. My pillowball mounts only adjust for camber. I have a couple degrees of negative camber, but I need to figure out how to add caster.

Then the slots that are side to side for camber adjustment will be front to back for caster adjustment and I will not be able to add camber to my car.

the only other way to add it is get new top mounts (ground controls have adjustment for both) or you could get offset bushings for your lower control arm that add caster.

you could also move the top mount 90 degrees and then add crash bolts for camber...
