put screen names on windshields of cars. there were a lot of people from the forum that i wanted to meet and thank in person, but being the shy type, i didnt meet as many people as i wanted to. i wouldnt wear one on my shirt, but my car can wear it for me.

Thats why i started the "ROTORFEST 2006 WHOSE WHO?????" THread this way ppl can find there cars and put up pics of there info/ride.

I wanted to meet so many people but walked right passed them cuz i didnt know who they are. Im not the shy type but i cant say wahts up if i dont know you or ure car lol.

I was gonna write my s/n on my windsheild , but i dunno i woulda came back to a rocked windsheild some ppl dont like me lol

But yeah man, it was better than last year the grassy area, they put more grass, less mud.

Only downsize was less cars!

And I know everyone on this forum has atleast one friend with one of these cars. Or would like a race against one.
But its just an idea
How dare you put muscle and Rotary together. hahah j/k

I just want to keep it rotary, get teh best rotarys out there to come out and race

More advertisign and a website so ppl can look at whats going on.

WEBSITE woulda helped alot, i promoted the event on my website

http://www.nyrotary.com/6789/6573.html

We didnt have that many hits , the sites been up for 2.1 weeks

MAYBE we can get these cars taht go to PAN AMS to show up to ROTORFEST, that **** would be awesome. Then we can rent the entire track, and see some real racing!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didn't make it but i hope you don't mind my suggestions.
i'm not into car shows at all. i think they are boring.
But if you combine a car show, with drag racing AND autocross, that would be cool.
and combine scores for king of the hill. sort of what SCC and grassroots magazines do.

if you moved it to e-town, you can autocross with SCCA in the morning, and then shift over to the drag strip at around 3pm.
you don't need to rent out etown...we can just piggy back their normal event but they will give you a lane for just the rx7's.
I know the SCCA guys that run the autocross and they can work something out with you depending on expected turnout (they do that for honda club, viper club, subbies, etc).

then invite a few magazines to cover the event. if they confirm, even more people would attend.

I agree with Jay but, not talking about Rotorfest Im talking about setting up a totally seperate e-town thing. And we rotories are a minority, so I don't think there's anything wrong with banding together with other Japanese Turbo Rear Wheel Drive Beast's.

dont forget 240s. the one there was faster than most rx7s. NSXs? WRXs? EVOS? GVR4s?(nopt too many arounfd though)

i know a few years back vosko and company tried a Supra vs RX7 day, but that kinda didnt go as planned.

I know how to flash, moon and outright scare people.

I think the event should stay rotary only. More of us would like it this way as opposed to having 200+ ricers crowding over the fd's and having no apriciation for any other gen.

Plus there's less stupidity.

the history of rotorfest has tried pretty much all these ideas, englishtown is not going to rent the track to 125 show cars and less then 20 drag cars, so unless you combine that with another event there that aint happening.

If thats the case then a **** load of guys should go when they are having a import event and represent the community.

They used to BBQ, it got better, but also was a hassle.
Its easier to just have the roach coach there if people want to eat, or you bring your own.
If they had the same guy as last year his food was pretty good and very reasonably priced as well.

Unless of course a group of people want to volunteer to shop and cook, then go shop some more when food runs out like they had to do everyear they organized thier own food.

And again, if they hire a DJ he needs to carry insurance, does not matter if he is doing it for free, if he wants to set up equipment he needs insurance.

They have had vendors before, obviously enough people did not buy that much to make it worth thier while to return.

We would all like this to be some event that would blow other events out of the water, but when you have as little cars as we do your limited, unless you want to make the entrance fee like $100 each.

((Once again im not talking about rotarfest)) Im talking about a new E-town Meet.
And Rob XX7 is totally right we are minority, and the cars I mentioned were cars like ours, enthusiast, NOT RICER'S. Ricers are little under powered 4 cyl. I think most people will agree with the car list I proposed.

And Jay let me know what you want done for the site in Flash. I know 3D Animation too if you want to incorporate it in the flash.

I think more emphasis should have been placed on racing. I know a bunch of guys were dragging, but that was mostly after everyone else left. If there were cars running all day it might have provoked other people to take some runs. The rotary people were definately segregated, pretty much the same meet could have happened in any field.
