OK first, there is no pre-pay this year. The track is taking care of all the admission and food services. So to answer the question,, you just pay at the gate. I'm working on getting some better details, however the track owner, and I have been quite busy with our personal buisness activities.
Now onto this BS with you Ryan. FIRST OFF I never told anyone that "unusual requests" were made. As I remember it, you told me last year that you could not come unless I paid airfare, due ti your expenses for rotary revolution. Thats fine, I had no problem with that. However, I could not afford to dish out any extra cash. It has nothing personal to do with you. We both could not afford it, and thats that.
I don't have a chip on my shoulder. What I have is me dishing out my own personal money to put together a good event for the rx-7 community. The club, nopistons, off the street, whoever. The day is for everyone who has the same passion as I do for the rx-7. After last years event I had personal threats made against me because I was angered at people for doing burnouts and flying down the access roads. I don't need that ****.
This is why I have no clue why I bother to do this sometimes. People allways find something to bitch about. People think I do this for the $$. You think I make any money? check into how much it costs a person to secure Liability insurance for an event in NJ?
I'm at the point where I'll just disclose my financial involvement with this years show. The owner of the track determined the cost, times, and rules. For every car that rolls through the gates I get $4. That money is going to go towards the trophies/dj/and promo costs. I may pick up a sponsor or 2 but thats it. SO if I break a record and hit 200 cars, thats $800. SO between trophies,DJ, and other expenses that $$ will be gone quick. I'm not even going after sponsors this year. This event is getting bigger and bigger and I can't stand it. Everything was much better the first 2 years when I did the show with vosko and we had like 50-75 cars, and a BBQ.

i have been there through every rotorfest. last year i had limited involvement besides helping the day of. we don't have a company, we don't have anything but our bank accounts and WILL to make these things happen and everytime something dumb happens it makes us that much less willing to sacrifice TIME and MONEY due to other peoples lack of respect. bottom line is if you want to go. GO and have a good time like everyone else will . this year will be much bigger and more action packed AND even more of a headache for Jay and I if i help again

I was asking for about $100 to get me up there, and I would have ended up spending another $500 easy in expenses. That's nothing, and you just said no ... not interested. I would have been doing you a favor, and I'm smart enough to realize that you didn't even humor the idea because you've long since judged me for being this forum. Whatever, I reached out to you in good will ... and still ran a 2 page story.

If you want to get people there who can help your event grow, you gotta pay. That's just the nature of the business. Ask any of the other guys who run events, they pay out the *** to get names there. But that in turn brings people.

Another thing, those other guys running events have just as many headaches as you ... if not more. You don't see them whining all the time about how hard and thankless it is. Seriously dude, either run the event and don't complain, or stop doing it. Complaining isn't going to change the way people are, it just makes you look unprofessional.

^^^True!

English town, Raceway park is paying to import a half a dozen Rotary powered race cars from Puerto Rico to there next event April 30 and May 1st..... This cost is absorbed by the Race Track.... This in turn brings more people to the event!=$$$

This also benefits the car owners.... They get more coverage and recognition=$$$ in sponsorships......

Guys stop it already.... Kiss and make up! Shake hands and count your money!

Turbovr6 will benefit by magazine coverage! Free advertising!

BOOSTD 7 will benefit by magazine content! Stories and prospective advertisers!

Enough already!!!

YOU BOTH WIN!!!

you pay at the door for whichever you want to do spectacte, Drag, Show or Drag & Show

also

How is it free advertising if we are paying ! There are already too many cars as it is. Jay and I have jobs that we do everyday, we came up with rotorfest because we wanted a cool way for everyone to hang out and have a good time. etown is greater than jay and I ha ha ! the only other event like is rotary revolution and it is thousands of miles away from us and i don't think it has had a bigger turn out yet but it is still new and has had bad weather

r-cien, no worries man, you can hitch a ride with me and we will meet the other guys by the holland tunnel, i would say, we should all meet at the jersey side, after you get out the tunnel, stay on the left hand side and park in the baskins robbins/ dunkin doughnuts lot, we can meet there, get the coffee and run lol.

CHINOOO / TWINTURBO93. It is possible to squeeze some employee discounts thru Hilton.

Hampton Inn Clinton
16 Frontage Drive, Clinton, New Jersey, United States 08809
Tel: +1-908-713-4800 Fax: +1-908-238-1650

Found this 1 to have employee discounts available. its 14.5 miles away. I get a rate of $29.00 a night. I can get a max of 2 rooms. let me know.

I tried for AC and Wildwood, but all sold out for employee discounts. but its too farr from the event. we are so close to Penn. I can also get close to the action park, Downey over there. just to throw some ideas.

and Chinooo I still need those rear seats. thanks alot man.

Im down man..Gotta get my tranny swap before then , im def going.

For the meet up by the holland tunnel i think would be very very hard. i think we should meet as the other member posted by baskin robbins in one of those big parking lots so we can take pics of the caravan get some food and cruise together.
