Too bad nobody could afford to buy anything from him cause they spent all their money at the gate.

maybe he needed the money for a mail order bride

and f1... true. i was going to get a shirt and couldn't because i literally had no cash after having to pay tons more than we were told we were going to at the gate...

Vosko, if I were you, I would PayPal all the money that everyone demands into a respectable persons account and they will divided it up accordingly. If you want off the hook, you have my PayPal address, im sure Jason has PayPal too, he is another one to trust.

Even though I didn't attend, I still feel jipped by taking the time to read all of these posts on how he sucked and I deserve $30 refunded in return...hopefully next year I can attend a much better organized event.

lol wheter it was $5 or $10 per person. Who cares, Vosko organized a great event for all rotor heads. I'd pay $25 to attend a rotary only show/track event. I'm sad I wasnt able to attend this year. I got calls all night from people telling me it was a good turn out, especially the caravan. So Vosko, you get props regardless another Rotofest well done!

So..........the caravan up was fun

I admit I was quite suprised when we arrived and was told $30. I also was told by Vosko "I don't make the prices" even though I had no idea what admission was in the first place. I pretty much made up my mind that this was going to be my last year attending even before I found out all of this about the pricing. The parking is pretty rediculous and so is the heat with no shade or any building with A/C to hang out in (I know I'm a panzy, I hate extreme heat).
I don't know if anyone else ruined their front bumper (stock or aftermarket) but I know for a fact the chameleon FD definatley cracked his front. Parking for a meet should never be half of your stress for the day, and I'm sure for some it was a PITA avoiding all the little dips and holes. As far as meets go, this location is one of the more ghetto places. I know last time I can I had Steve Kan with me, and hanging out at the McDonalds with the others getting tuned was more fun that actually being AT Rotorfest.

On a side note, if people are interested I could easily organize a dyno day/meet with a large parking lot at a local shop with decent parking, places to eat close and A/C.....To me sitting in a field sweating my *** off can break a day, for me at least....Minus the fact that we had to pay $30 to sweat our asses off in a field

Besides everything I posted above it was very nice to see old friends and make some new ones, hopefully next time I see everyone it will be under better conditions.

-Dan

Edit:
Oh and Kimberly....you looked better without the shirt on anyway, so don't sweat it

it tore off the bottom lip of my stock bumper.

I just fixed it real quick with some sheet metal and bolts. Luckily the side it tore was hiding behind my license plate.

nyt,
See to me that kind of stuff is unacceptable, expecially if you have NEVER been to the venue....I happened to know parking sucked, but something should have been said to people about driving super carefully.

I've been there before, was driving slow ( 800rpm in first gear ) and there was just a crazy dip I couldn't see

I enjoyed the drive, and was happy to have both the 7 and 8 there parked side by side. I think I had the loudest 1st gen there, to anyone that was listening.

Wow, can't believe I sat here and just read all 13 pages of that. I was planning on going, but had a reunion to go to up in Syracuse.

As for all those who got scammed, I'm really sorry to hear that...It sounds like next year will be much better!

What's even funnier is that Vosko has completely given up on defending himself, and by his posts/contradictions has blatently admitted to wrongfully taking peoples' money. I have this feeling that he's going to get what's coming to him...sooner rather than later.

F1Blue,
I didn't follow the entire rotorfest thread, so I probably would not have seen that. I actually meant a verbal warning should have been given at the gate, but no worries......can't change what has already happened.

Jay dont give him credit for the caravan, that is setup by all the members coming from different location. the NY, NJ and CT caravan was good, we had lil over 70 cars =)

I cant agree with you on the organization of the event. Well everyone knows how its set up now, lets see what the future holds for us.

Yea I was a bit surprised to at the fee, due to me going since 05. The sun and heat is really bad, the field we park in had huge dips and 0 shade. I just go for the caravan really because its not that much fun sitting in a field being baked by the sun. We should all go to a NOPI event at Atco Raceway, plenty of entertainment, a REAL parking lot, and wont cost 30$

I'm sure it's easy to give someone "props" when you were not there AND didn't get scammed.

Like I said before, it wasn't the crappy $20 extra that was the problem, it was the fact that someone "stole" it from me(even though I was stupid enough to hand it to him, I wasn't going to turn around and drive over 100 miles home).

Wow, this just keeps growing (like Vosko's wallet)

A few quotes from him:

"i hope to be much better prepared this time around!"

"the point of the event is to come hang out have fun." so why the car show?

" i agree the grass lot isnt the greatest thing but there isnt much i can do about it"

"they wont do it. there is not enough money in it for them" plenty for you!

The funny thing is that he still does not think he did anything wrong. "Bait and switch" is a term we can use. Did'nt they give you a contract or something?

Vosko, see yah:

I understand. The general concensus (and I erroneusly listed amp as the one saying this to me before) was that if you're not a volunteer or helping out in some way, you should keep your suggestions to yourself.

I initially suggested a change of venue due to the mud, well it seems the flooding over the spring time made the problem worse.
