They spilt up a while abck into 2 shops and ive heard that since then Romeo's shop closed entirely, but i do not know this to be true. Ive also heard the supposed reason for the split from one of their regulars but i will not post inflamitory stuff like that on the internet.

ive had expierence with t&r and it was by far the best out of any shop in ny... tony swapped out my motor tore it down, cleaned up the ports and installed a single turbo in my car in less then 4days flat, try going to any rotary shop and getting your motor pulled rebuilt and re-installed in 4days... for all this i had a tiny chip on my hood, but i cant really be upset to me it was worth it for the excellent mechincal service they provided, and iam not even gonna say how much i paid but it was 1000's less then any other shop quoted me... nuff said

I just put a killer write up regarding clutch installation in the 2nd gen section. Might be some help to you. A little info on tranny install in there, as well.

Yo DJ

I don't know if you remember me but I saw you at T&R you caught some beef down the block right? You probably saw a primered 2nd gen with the front mount
I helped the guys strap your car on the dyno I think you had your old man drop you off to pick up your car. let me know if I'm talking about the same guy.

Most people that have been screwed by rotary shops on the islanddont have the guts to share their experiences. They are afraid that it'll just turn into a pissing match. I have to laugh when people defend an inferior shop saying that "they" received good service. Usually people who go to those shops don't know any better, so what they think they are getting is good service. I have seen single turbo kits installed that were abortion-like, using old parts, rubber hoses that will melt, exposed wiring, switched parts, and inferior brackets...but hey what do I know.

Band-aid work? Ouch. At least if I'm gonna ghetto-rig something for a short time I know about it, then do it right when I get the chance/parts. But to pay for band-aid work...

bandaid work equals.... taking off blowin stock twins.. installing a single turbo kit when i only had the manifold and turbo.... they supplied the rest... the "bandaid" was the rubber hose they used on the wastegate line.... which every1 knows will eventually melt... but 4 the price i payed iam not complaining

busted up blue vert, rainbow style! in queens

lol just reading this post, im new to the rotor world ... i drive a 88 blue vert around the city, its all busted up cuz I did a 540 on the offramp of the BQE to the Brooklyn Bridge ... lovely ...

so if u see one w/ a red bumper, black fender and red s5 mirrors oh and s5 tails, thas my busted up car ...

i had no idea where to go to fix it so i went to smokin joe's, they had the parts on and thing bent back into shape in 48 hours, fastest turn around time I've ever seen for body work like that. And i completely tore off my bumper and half my fender ... They also have a billion spare parts lying around, straight up jacked parts off some cars in the back for my friends FC (lol maybe thas how they steal/swap parts)

Anyway, I hope they dont steal my internals and swap em out and use crazy glue, but they have done legit work for me thus for pretty cheap. I've since done misc. work there (like cluth, exhaust & other stuff) I leave my car there and its in a quiet place in elmont, so I have never seen one get all scuffed up or crazy **** like that T&R place! That **** some of u said sounded crazy, but Imma have to go check out that roto shop, i had no idea there was one in queens.

Anyway, dont burn my rx soo hard when u see me ...

also i just found out that one of my 17 TSW Hock R's are totalled (al's on jericho tpke confirmed that **** for me), now i need rims? RIMS ANYONE? i need some rims for my whip I dont care what kind ... well pref the bbs vert ones, but who cares now ...

yeah the meet at t&r is happening soon down the block they're renting a parking lot at the food spot, so that sounds pretty good, this meet is about to get a lot more exposure, a lot of good things happening this summer, and i think t&r is gonna kill the competition, they are now a greddy dealer and a bunch of other vendors, i got crazy cheap prices on most of my stuff, tony is not playing and that crazy beast of his is really gonna make a name for it self this season with the new trix up the sleeves, i think t&r is the new place to be. they're gonna blow up in the tunning industry, if they keep up the improvement i've been seeing at the shop.
