Not surfing the forums in class because of the lame HCPS internet blocking. Meh, I guess I'll go learn something.

I know a couple folks that have houses over that way. Some of them may look like crap from the outside but they are actually built pretty well - especially compared to todays standards.

calypso - do you live near VCU? I am going there too and live on the corner of BLV and W. Grace.

I cannot believe this ****.

Called the trans shop yet again.

They apparently can’t get the right parts to rebuild the trans – they also apparently can’t use the internet cause I found the kit $127 from a place in SC called RX-7 World, they also sell rebuilt transmission for $600 + core deposit of $300

So the jackasses ordered another junkyard trans – which I told them at the outset I do not want

The guy also got belligerent with me and dropped a few F’bombs my way – I stayed calm though.

They have YET to give me a price for anything and I’ve called at leat twice a week for the last month.

Somethin tells me I can’t afford these guys.

Damn, man, sorry about your troubles. I've got an S4 high mileage, but rebuilt tranny I'm about to swap out. I'm nearly positive it will all work, just different gear ratios? One of the seals in the tranny makes a noise when cold, but fine when warm. I thought it was a pilot bearing, but its not. It goes away when the clutch is IN.

Let me know if I can help ya.

I couldv'e sworn it was for a while, but I read up... and apparently a worn throw out bearing will produce noise when the clutch pedal is depressed. Free tranny!

Have you given them any money? If not, I would find a trailer that you could borrow from someone and go out there to pick it up.

We'll see how it goes today, Momz is gonna talk to those guys (since she lives 5 minutes awy from them) and see if she get a mor reasonavle responce.
Can the car be move with no tranny in it? - is the axle suspended still by a yoke or something?
Anybody know anyone with a trailer and would be up for a weekend ninja mission?

In continued bad car luck the FD lost a head light cover last night while driving home through the Fan. I circle back but it had be run over several times by the time I got to it.
I ordered a new vented FEED cover from Corksport as a replacement.

some more
what a difference a day makes
the guy out there in Stuarts Draft has cooled off and was a bit more reasonable this morning
the trans he ordered is $350 - i can live with that
he is going to crate the old trans for me
and I'm gonna see if I can learn how to rebuild a trans with the soon to be spare trans
which I suppose wouldn't be a bad thing to have - the way i drive

Man, I'm having a hard time finding a passenger side fender... anyways, my brother is selling a s5 motor, recently rebuilt with only a few thousand miles on it. Someone, let me know if you have a fb passenger fender or want to buy the motor

...i want to get my car driveable!

well you could try Mitchum Enterprises 379-1239 - he has several junker FB's, he might be willing to sell you a fender
or Mariah Motorsports sells widebody kits for those with deep pockets

My turn signals are working again!! Props going out to Jayson...thanks for hooking me up with those parts today.

I also have most of my new interior installed along with the new sticky tires.

Who is going to Starbucks tomorrow night? I am torn between the Busch Race, hanging out with the girlfriend, and going to Starbucks......i may start a poll.

YAY clutch and fd fuel pump just came in! I'm trying to head up to the starbucks tomorrow night, but may not be so early in the night.

Has anyone been to Russels JY in Dinwiddie? I've heard its hardly known, and is like a jackpot.
