Ha ha. having used to work in the restaurant industry, I HATED seeing groups like that come in. Like 150 people just showing up. AHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! lol.


As for the food, I don't really care about it. Sure it would be nice, but definitely NOT necessary. Plus, even if it was there, it would be a hassle for one, two, or three people stuck cooking for a lot of the time, and not mingling. This meet IS about the cars, and the comraderie. This is going to be a fantastic meet. If people want food, I suggest what someone else just mentioned earlier, make a quick stop at a Wawa and pick up some snacks. Can't wait to see everyone.

I agree with Senseny and Touring. Pitching in with chips, soda, prezels etc sounds like a better plan. I'll find something irish to take - green chips or something - Guinness Keg - ah, maybe next time! :-)

Lancaster/York area guys I sent you info again on the meet. If I missed someone, let me know. Also, there is a group from the coatesville area we will be meeting up with, you can contact rdavid about where you guys are meeting and when.

Also, Travis, don't go overboard. I will bring stuff and I will make someone else from my group bring stuff, so that way one person doesn't get stuck.

Touring, I won't go overboard. I will get something like 4 bags of chips, some dip, and 3 or 4 bottles of soda. No big deal.
Decay, I am PMing you. You are still coming down with me, right? Anyone else caravaning with me? I have a seriously unpopular thread regarding that.
So far it looks like 10 rx8s should be there. I am hoping for about 17 to 20 8s though.

A friend's friend may be coming as well with what I understand to be a heavily modded last generation Supra. I said it was okay as I would like to see his car and I know he wants to see ours. Hopefully no one takes offense to me saying okay to a non-rotary.

Dumb question but from 95 what is the best way to get to teh FDR. I have directions on the site but they are alittle vague....anyone?

when you get off of 95 at broadstreet exit from north or south.... you will want to go up to about where the Spectrum is. the road will sorta split for people making a left onto patterson ave. make a left onto patterson and follow up to the 2nd entrance to the park. its right after the sweedish?? museum... from there, there is a few parking lots ahead twords the left. thats more likely where we will be.
if you came in the 1st entrance to the park. you will want to make a right at the *T* in the road as soon as you pull in. from there just follow the road around and the lots will be on the right hand side right after the memorial on the lake. you cant miss it. the park is one big circle....

Ill be there ... I havent been able to attend since the hooters meet and since the moved out past Coatesville. We should at least concider a rain date and if there is anyone in the Coatesville area who want caravan down let me know..

Alright the chester county crew/DE crew should all meet at the intersection of rt 202/lincoln highway (rt30 buisness)/ rt 30 bypass. There is a sheraton hotel there and just to the left of it is a park and ride parking lot. We should try to get there around 2and leave shortly there after. The lancaster guys will also be meeting us there so we may be a little late leaving there if they hit traffic or anything. We will then go north on 202 right to 76 east and right to FDR park.

Touring FD3S will be heading up the Lancaster portion, either him or I should be contacted if ya need further directions.

I say we wait until Friday before cancelling anything since weather reports can sometimes be a load of BS, they are more accurate as the day approaches, so make the decision as late as possible.

for the past three staight weeks its been saying 25 - 30% chance of thunderstorms, and it has rained only one full day. also, the weather reports have been changing daily. I say we don't worry about it unless it says 50% or more chance of rain (not passing thunderstorms) for sun on sat.

you guys sure you want to go that long *** route? taking i95 would be the fastest way since you will not hit any traffic. and it's a straight shot to the exit which is right at the park. 76 will be a guaranteed mess that day...everyday actually. maybe from your meeting point, go south on 202 to 322 east. that will take you to i95 north(in chester). from there, it's only about 15miles to the exit. or rt30e to i476s to i95n. basically AVOID 76 if you dont want to be stuck in traffic.
not sure about the rest of the DE guys but i plan on driving straight up i95.
