Any of you who plan on attending this meet that are from anywhere in Jersey, click the link below to get to the caravan thread. Not sure how its going to work out so far, but i'm making a map of peoples zip codes to see where everyone is coming from so we can all head out together and get some nice highway footage. i think FDR would be real cool. its a little hard to pull into there though with a lowered car , the entrance i'm thinking of.

Hey Ricky! It looks as though I should be able to make this event. It's definitely been a while since I've been to a meet. If the 7 is not able to attend then I will bring the 8. Who knows, maybe I'll drag Jose along. What time have you decided to get things started?

Just a suggestion, maybe avoid arrival time for the Phillies game that day. Maybe a later start time than we would usually do.

 

What time do they arrive?

 

Since the game starts at 1:35, and traffic is sometimes rough into the first or second inning, I would suggest something like 2:30 or 3:00 as a start time. Just my opinion, if anyone disagrees please give suggestions. I just don't feel like getting stuck in that traffic.

 

Here is my opinion based on my experience with going down to Phillies games. If we start early, it would have to be around 11. There is generally smooth flowing traffic from then until at least 11:30, but after that is starts getting a little backed up. As Senseny said, if we do it after, we are looking at around 2:30. I am personally fine with either times, so if anyone has any suggestions feel free to reply.

Otherwise, I am thinking 2:30 so I don't have to get up early on an off day.

 

Touring, thats why I didn't even suggest early (plus I have a roller hockey league with games between 11 and 1).

I think we should do it later in the day. The earliest I could get there is around noon and that means I will be caught up in all the traffic.

 

I agree, don't feel like leaving my house at like 8:00 a.m on a sunday..

I think 2:30 is a good time. After talking to Wayne and a couple others, that looks to be the best. So, this is what we have....

Ok so what are the details?

 

time sounds good to me. i think you guys are making the traffic out to be worse than it will be. with only one event (dragon tales doesnt even count as an event. ) going on... the traffic will be minimal.
2 things...
1st. does anyone have an idea of about how many people will be attending including the 8's? i need to figure the food needs.
here are the things i am planning on bringing food wise:
hamburgers, ($40 for a case of 40 burgers)
hotdogs. ($20 for a case of 72 doggies)
sausage. ($23 for 33 sausages)
burger rolls= $1.20 per dz
dog rolls= $.90 per dz
sausage rolls (hoagie rolls) = $2.50 per dz
5lb box of nachos= $4.50
also, i am going to need help with some things like charcoal and **** like that...

2nd.
while pulling out of the Wachovia Center leaving work yesterday i noticed a large orange temp. construction fence up in the park. i didnt feel like driving through the park to see what that was all about, but it got me worried. i will check it out today or tomorrow and see whats going on.... hopefully it wont be a problem. i will also stake out a place for us twords the back of the park and check to see about the parking and grill. (hopefully there is still one where i rember it last year.

Also, I am waiting to hear from Wayne (Irish_in_a_RX8) after this weekend as to around how many RX8 guys will be there. They have a meet tomorrow I think, and he is going to bring it up then.
