Definitely:

1: James
2: Daten
3: RvP (I've been promised lunch, so I have to show up)
4: VAXHeadroom
5: GAPING VOID THAT CAN NEVER BE FILLED
6: Brent
7: smaller gaping void that might eventually get filled with stuff... maybe car parts.
8:sgof
9:x0ny ( coming to pay debt, cant stay lonng)

On the fence:

1: CrashtestJoey
2: Pele (Doubtful)

Not coming

1: Tofuball + Wife
4: suds
3: Mazda6guy
4: myk (going sailing with my dad )

----------------------------------------------------------
Those in the "Definitely" list are on "my" list. Really it's x0ny I'm after... he was to provide my nutrition today.

Just wondering what happened to those that were definitely going to be there. It's the first meet I can remember that James wasn't there. Still, it was a nice drive still fun talking with VAX'.

Looks like the amount of 7s that showed up for the Maryland Bbq--that was the last one I will be holding.

I think I had more show up to mine, and I got everyone to bring food. You must be doing something wrong bro - did you forget to bathe or something?

As far as fudds goes... its not the most appealing place to hold a meet. Plus nothing really ever goes on afterward (well from the couple of times I came out) so sometimes it can be hard to justify the 45 minute or so trip when there are other things going on at the same time. Meet somewhere with a better selection of food or even a more centralized location and you might get more reliable attendance.

Th problem isn't location or food selection. It's frequency. It's tough to schedule monthly meets. We do the best we can, and sometimes there is a better turnout than others. Rarely does it end up with only a couple people.

We aren't all a bunch of kids sitting around with nothing to do. For the most part, the group of us that meets at Fuddrucker's IS centered around it's location and we are adults with lives, responsibilities and priorities. When we say we can or should be there, it's because we want to go. But in a nutshell, **** happens.

I had to work due to a last minute schedule change.
Laura has explained before she always has to work on Sunday.
X0ny was stuck at an airport.
mazda6guy went to the track to watch rotary-powered racing.

This isn't people who were just too lazy to make it or think it's too far. We just have lives outside of talking about RX7's, which if you hadn't noticed, we can do online without having to go anywhere.

I've had 30+ RX7's at my house before. And expecting them all to make a 500 mile strip is somewhat optimistic, in my opinion.

exactly. just be happy we HAVE monthly meets. if i recall, before August 04(or was it 03?), there weren't any. it took Cal and i haranguing people to get them set up, and to get people motivated enough to come out. sorry that you don't like the location or the group of people(or whatever other gripes people might have), but this location has worked for a couple of years now. we generally get a decent turnout, the restaurant has no issue with us taking over their tables for an hour or so, and we never get harassed by anyone. sometimes people do things after the meets...but that doesn't always happen.

i look at it as an opportunity to see the guys for a bit before returning to the daily grind. i never feel OBLIGATED to show up unless i'm doing business with someone there...and i've never whined about the date unless it's a day that i absolutely cannot be free.

if you're looking for an "event" where there's lots of hardcore working on cars, or aggressive driving, or anything "exciting" then it's definitely not for you...though i didn't think meeting with people for fun was a bad thing.

at least we're not like those kids that streetrace anyone we can find because it'z kool y0.

Well i dont think you guys understood what i was saying earlier. Its called a joke, i know its a long drive i wouldnt expect anyone to come from your hood.

I was just teasing you guys. 30+ Rx7 for NY is good, ppl over here come to the meets but half dont have there cars, if everyone that attended brought there cars we would have easy 65+ Rotary Vehicles.

But again i was just pulling your leg, and trying to advertise the site, www.nyrotary.com (Check out our first meet in RXTUNER mag)

Well damn... glad you're all alive. Never said anything about kids Joey... Matter of fact, I've made a few attempts to catch you at one of them just to see your V8 swap. I've heard it was a pretty clean swap which is something I can appreciate RX-7 or not.

I'm familiar with much of the fudds crowd and have no problems with anyone thats a part of it. faln... joey... lighten up a little bit. I'm not knocking the meet or anyone at it. Just stating an opinion about the location that may or may not be shared by other people.

Not saying to completely stop meeting at fudds either. There are a few places across the street from there that might appeal to a wider variety of people. Whether anything is done as a result of my opinion, i'm not going to lose any sleep over. I'll still be making it out to fudds with you guys from time to time, just hoping maybe someone can come up with something to do afterward as well. I'd make suggestions my self but I'm not overly familiar with the area and that makes it a little difficult.

I was making a joke too. I guess so many people know I have a V8 in my car that I assume people know when I'm making fun of the idea of a line of rotary cars making a trip of that distance. .

For the record, I have taken trips longer than that just to have a meal. I just don't do it anymore because I don't have that much time on my hands.

Someone lied about the swap - it's all messy and I still have wires and missing trim pieces everywhere

Honestly we've tried on several occasions to find a different place to meet. Both for variety and because some people don't like Fuddrucker's. Every time, the majority found that Fudd's was the most centrally located and popular with the group attending. I'd be happy to pick a place somewhere else, if you can convince everyone else to drive there. I'm a fat guy, there's very few restaurants I don't like.

If you want to put together something farther South, I'm sure some of us can make it. I try to get down to MIR and to my buddy's house in Waldorf whenever I can, I just don't get that chance very often.
