Oil Temp Gauge Broken ?

WHen iwas installing my other tranny, i didnt ground the starter properly to the car and it created a short that burnt out my SS clutch line. Ever since that day my oil temp gauge when the car is off is below 0. As if it were broken. Then when i start the car the oil pressure is way above 60 and is maxed out. Now i was told i may have put a lil too much oil so i took it out and started the car again.

The slightest touch to the throttle cuases the oil pressure to go all the way up. Now if its broken which i beleive it is, is there a way to just fix the oil guage without replacing the entire cluster?

Thanks Jason

check your sender, its on the block itself by the spark plugs if i remember correctly...the wire since you had that lil fire! lol When i got my fd it came with the oil pressure gauge dead. I got a hks gauge to make sure i had pressure and left the stock sender unplugged. I think you can buy a sender for cheap for fc. I doubt its the gauge itself though...and yes, too much oil will cause the gauge to get pinned at max...make sure you dont have too much oil(cant be good for your seals either!)
