NJDMV Emissions and Safety Exemptions
Most of you probably don't know this, but there is a "Collector Car" registration in NJ. It requires that the car is insured as a secondary limited use vehicle that is driven less than 3000miles a year. With this registration, you are exempt from emissions and safety inspections. All that is required is that you report to the DMV every two years to get your milelage recorded to make sure you aren't over the 3k a year limit. One thing I'm not clear on is whether or not you "need" collector car insurance. The cars that I have that are registered this way are under collector car insurance.

i would have a hard time limiting myself to 3000 miles a year on my 87 turboii, my school is 2 miles away but I always take a half hour to get there (getting there is all the fun)
