Zumspd, sounds like you got a plan. We can meet any other caravans wherever, as long as myself and the ME - NH guys get down to carlton rd by 6:45, we can do anything, otherwise, i guess its off to exit 48?

I've had to go down to Trenton,NJ a few times over the past 2 years and found a route that works pretty well. Found out from a guy who travelled that route weekly. I don't know if its any better than the route Zumspd found because I've never been his route. Anyway, take a look and let me know what you guys think. Take I-84 west to I-684. Then take I-684 south to the Saw Mill River Pkwy (fun winding road if there is little traffic), and follow that to the Tappan Zee Bridge (87/287). Take 87/287 west to the Garden State Pkwy, then go south on the GSP to I-80. I think I only paid 5-6 bucks in tolls.

richlrx7- that sounds like the route we took last year, and if i remember correctly, it seemed a lot easier then the directions i had for last year and this year. i used the same software to plan the trip out as last year, since im really not too familiar with the area and it gave me the same directions. My mechanic was more familiar with the area, and im pretty sure he took us that way. Traffic, if i remember correctly, really wasn't that bad at all. id say your plan seems a lot easier/cheaper/quicker. try to get all the details of that route (exits, miles, etc.) if you can or ill get to it sometime this week.

as for me going to RotorFest, im on the fence. i just got a college bill for my summer course, and some financial backing fell through, so im still trying to figure out how i'm going to pay it. ill let you guys know by friday if i'm gonna be able to make it or not, that way you guys would know whether to have to stop at cracker barrel or not.

one other thing, id recommend everyone does a thorough look through of their vehicle before next weekend. the last thing you want is to break down so far away from home. i'm sure you guys have already thought of this, i just figured i would make sure.

Stuff to Bring:
Money for Gas, Food, Tolls, and Entrance
Coffee / Energy Drink since it's going to be so damn early in the morning
Map of North East
Directions in case we lose eachother
Walkie Talkie or Cell Phone with everyone's numbers to stay organized (i have a couple extra walkie talkies, just bring AA batteries if you need one) plus it makes the drive more interesting telling jokes or saying "did you see that chick in the ____?!" the whole way down
Oil
Coolant
Spare Tire
Jack
Tools in case of Need for Repair
Tire Iron or Factory Tool
Water/ Drinks/ Snacks
Fold out Chair
Sun Screen
Bug Spray (the mosquitoes were horrible last year!)
Camera
Accomplice to ride Shotgun
anything else you deem necessary

One more week! It's gonna be a great turnout!

well, my college bill is taken care of; so im all in.

tworotorguy- at least it went out yesterday, instead of in NJ. good luck getting everything together. i'm trying to find someone to ride shotgun with me; but pitching a race bucket seat and 4pt cam locks with no A/C for 4 hours of driving isn't turning out to be the easiest task so far.

I also have no radio in my car. My $400 radio blew a few weeks ago. Waiting to send it down to a place in CT to fix it.

Well, you can sing to keep him entertained!

Update.....I am not going to be able to make it this year. I still have not found the source of my problems and even if I did I would not want to break in a new motor trying to keep up. It might be highly unlikely to keep an engine too long that way and I can not afford another $4K for another one.

Wish I could go....take some good pics and some good Deet for those skeeters! Watch out for the Nile virus and Malyria. JK.....have fun fellas!

Cool, good to see you in! Directions look good, I've always gone to Rotorfest via Rt10 and I91, because I was coming from Keene area. So I dont think I'll be first LOL! But I think we are making a stop in Sturbridge to meet ZumspdRX-7 unless he decides to seek an alternate route etc. But we'll keep rounding out the plans here over the next two days!

im gonna have to drop out, as well. being the poor college student that i am, im being forced to prioritize. im going to forgo this years rotorfest for a dyno tune at KDR. the money i would've spent on gas alone would cover the cost of the tune. my car is running incredibly (read: safely) rich right now, and its about time i get that taken care of. the extra horsepower won't hurt either.

im bringing my FD up to NH for a car show at Wicked CAS in August, so maybe ill see some of you guys there.

have fun.

Cool, I will be in my 8, the 7 isn't ready. Prepping the 7 for suspension work. I can't wait till it's done.
