I'm starting to agree with you, nobody comes out. Maybe next year will be better.

 

For the rotary guys, it's the same **** every night. Hell, I began to stop going unless someone knowledgeable goes. All we get are RX-8 kids that mention K&N panel filters as a "mod."

I haven't gone for three weeks. Tonight it was on the way home, but I decided against it. No point in dealing with some kids that stand without any idea what they're looking at. Plus the MS3/6 guys are pretty close nit.

 

Look man #1 Most of us Rx7 owners are older folks who do not find standing in the street past 10:00pm fun!! We are not young guys, we have to wake up 5-6Am the next morning and go through a 8-10 hour day!!!
We can`t have meets on weekends because some of us are with the family,partying or simply just too busy to hang out .
These rotary meets should be done once a month to give everyone sometime to gather up their things and make plans to come..

Main down fall to a weekly meet is that the guys who do attend to 1 thursday meet will say (this **** sucks) and will not come the following thursday, the guys who show up this thursday will say (this **** sucks) and will not know about the guys who showed up last thursday and its just a domino effect and it will slowly die..

If everyone knew the one day out of the month that rotarys will make an appearance guys will get hype and make the effort to come and stick it out one day out of the month..

While this doesnt pertain to me really because i dont go to rotary meets anymore nor care about them lol, at least there are other people who agree.

While i dont agree that a weekend meet is NOT doable, which it is, its still 1000x better than having it during the week at freaking 11pm. Who the hell wants to do that?

Actually i lied, i loved that, back when i was 19. Because it gave me a chance to leave the house.

 

I hear you Jason...for the past year I have been getting up at 430am to go to work and then get out from my second job at sometimes 11pm or later...those are long days for a bus mechanic...lol. I did manage to make it out to a few big meets this year (Orchard Beach and Rotorfest) as well as a couple of late thursday meets. All in all it was a blast this season and I am glad I MADE the effort. More than the cars...I really enjoy hearing other people's ideas and feedback as well as seeing **** that will inspire me to take my car to the next level. As a side effect I also am starting to get a major bug to own a FD, but that will come if I play my cards right. Hopefully things will settle down eventually and I can get more time to work on the cars and attend more events...I will go to Wisky Cafe and meet 1QWICK7 to confirn his existence...lol

 

Ask jason, i invited him to the whiskey cafe meet since last summer, 2011 and told him ill pay his gas if he came. He didnt want to go.

If anything, i question HIS existence. lol

And whiskey has 2 more saturdays left before its done for the winter.

Well the weather this Thursday is supposed to be real nice, anybody think they are gonna go? I will most likely be there with another fd, it would be nice to get together one last time for the year.
