NEW!!! NYC (Queens) Thursday Night Weekly Meet information thread.
Starting a new thread to solve the location confusion for the new weekly Thursday meet. We have been meeting at this spot for the past 3-4 months and all is well. You will also find other RX's (more particularily RX-8's), Mazdaspeed 3/6's, and Miatas at this place also. It is 99% a Mazda meet. 25 Mazdas can be expected in one good night.
I repeat again- PLEASE NO DOUCHEBAGGERY AT THE MEET. No peal outs, burn outs, etc. It has been a friendly and problem free environment for the past 5-6 years (started by the other Mazda guys), with no conflicts with the neighborhood and authorities. THIS IS A PUBLIC MALL LOT.

Douglaston Plaza is ~5min east on the LIE from the regular Flushing Meadows Park spot. We meet by the Macy's in the lower level of the plaza when the weather is bad. Otherwise it will be the top level of the plaza/parking structure.

I would also like to inform you guys that the Mazdaspeed and Miata guys like to take a spirited drive to Dunkin' Donuts about 10 minutes EAST from the Douglaston location at around 10-11PM almost every night. Fun drive none the less. I cannot recall the exact location of the DD right now, but you can tag along with the guys as they do a roll call at the meet before leave to DD. Not a bad idea for those who are coming from Long Island since it is on the way .

I see these meets are still happening trying to get out and meet new people havent had a rx-7 in about 8 yrs trying to get another FC and back in the community

i will finally get out of work early this thursday to attend this meet, will bring my Canon 60D and hopefully capture some great pictures to post on this page...
