New Guy, Soon to be FD owner

Hey guys, my name is Chason.

I'm from SW, Virginia I'm a member of the Car Club at Virginia Tech, and big fan of the kinky little rotary engine.

I'm big into uncommon cars, I currently own a 1990 Celica Alltrac Turbo (GT-Four) and before that I had a 1988 Celica Alltrac that suffered from a massive amount of rust. I've owned an FC before but I gave it up when the motor gave way (at 220k it wasn't worth the effort ) I'm currently in the process of getting an FD body RX-7. Owner stated he doesn't know whats wrong with it only that the stealership told him the motor was "bad" and that used motors are a waste of money. So he decided to cut his losses and sell it. I'm feeling up to the challenge of bringing this poor car back to life!

Already worked out an agreement with the owner and after I get a compression test done I'll make my final offer for the car.

if some one has a good visual direction of how to do a compression test on an FD I'd really appreciate it!

Here's a teaser of the car, all in 100% stock glory!

Yeah I would love an Alltrac but you are right about parts.

The best advice for a new FD owner is to learn to wrench on the car.
