I was thinking of getting a dyno day thing together maybe! Ptuning in Manassas offers dyno day rates of $67.00 for three pulls and AFR reading, if we get 15 people. I figured that would be a cool way to spend the day and hang out with some fellow rotor heads. Oh also they supply food and drink. If anyone wants to help set this up maybe we can pick a date and get a list started.

I would be down for a dyno day at least to hang out b/c i dont think there would be much of a reason to put my almost bone stock FC on the dyno. Let me know if i could help.

you need to get going on that thing..j/k Yea thats cool I don't have a problem with that. The guys that run Ptuning are super cool, im going to give them a call this week and talk to them about it. As far the date is concerned I was thinking maybe March or April ish but im open for any ideas. I know we have Deals Gap in April so maybe not a good month to do it.

The list is filling up faster then I thought. Well I talked to Ptuning today he said any time is good with a weeks notice. So I think Saturday March 29th as long as it ok with you guys. They are going to provide pizza and drinks so it will be pretty cool. Also they want a deposit of $500 when I set the date, so if half of the people will pay early that would be great. I'll break out the GSL-SE for that day... nobody wants to see a stock RX8 dyno... I'm sure we can get Jon to dyno his 8..

 

just be aware that Ptuning messed up Lt.Dans car when he went there to tune his carb...if i heard correctly

 

How did they mess it up? Like a bad tune, or hurt the car putting it on the dyno??

I asked one of my rx7 buddies in the area and he said he would come but i dont think i can convince him to dyno his stock S5. He said he has a friend with a mustang that would want to dyno as well but i dont know how u guys would feel about that so i didnt give him a definite answer on it. So only 4 ppl want to go so far? We need a lot more lol

 

not sure if we want to open it up to supras, 350Z, etc, but that may be the only way to get 15 people to dyno. just a thought.

 

That is true. Im sure everyone would like to only have rx7s but i dont see it happening.

 

Well I dont care really, I have a few back up non RX7s as long as they are good people and wont carry on. I dont wont to go any where and give a bad image of the rotary community. Also we need to keep track of the 15 people who will dyno! so if you have friends that want make sure you put there name on the list. Whats up with all the MD people? There is a lot more then 5 7s in the nova area.
