New guy just saying hey and have a few questions

hey guys whatsup? my name is jason knezo. I am the new guy to the rotary scene. I come from a long history of german cars, mostly vw/audi and bmw and porsche. I got my rx7 yesterday through a friend for just about nothing. Its a 1994 black with tan leather. I have some questions that have probably been answered 50 times but please bear with me. The car has 69k on it and suffered an engine fire. The motor will crank but will not fire so i am thinking that obviously those vaccuum lines are shot but i figure i will get the motor rebuilt and work on this thing over the summer. Do you guys know of any good rotary shops in the pa nj or ny area. Please direct me in the way of a good shop that can accomplish rebuilding the motor to stock specs or a mild street port. My last question is that the only paint effected was that of the hood, so i figure rather than respray just buy a carbon hood. Any of you guys have recomendations on those and the brands you use. Thanks again-jason

Go to JPR imports. They are about 20 minutes outside of Philly, ask for Jim, he's a great rotary mechanic.
