it looks like the weight on the roof made it lean and it pulled the center bar from one of the ends, and t hen the whole thing gave way

however i had to paint the car anyways due to clear coat pealing, and was going to fix the rear quarters, this is just an unwelcome addition

Wow, sorry to see and hear that. I hope insurance helps, but most of the time they will not touch roof damage because its structural and they will not guarentee it.

thanks for the kind words. I dont really need any help, im just going to swap evertying into a new shell when the weather gets warm

i just got paint quotes for the car now, looks like 260ish + whatever the flex agent costs (forgot to price it) for the mazda's winning blue from the rx8's

i belive the shell i can get has no real issues asside from needing paint
