Need a good RX7 shop in the Gloucester, VA area

Any one know of one, I am looking into having a Pre Purchase Inspection done on a RX7 in this town and need a shop close by that is good a reliable.

I need them to most importantly do a compression test so a Mazda compression tester is a must.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Gloucester is a pretty equal distance between Richmond and the Greater Hampton Rhodes area. I'd post in both threads, offering a savy rotorhead a financial reward for performing a PPI for you.

Good luck,

Good point Rob, I do not know why that did not occur to me.

There has to be a dealership nearby.

Thanks!

One thing I learned from the Porsche community was to have this inspection done prior to negotiating the purchase of any car. They run from $225 to $350 depending on the region and the shop.

I had 3 done before finding the right 911. The first 3 failed their engine inspection compression was poor and leakdown indicated bad valves.

I wish I had this knowledge years ago when I bought the TeamFC3S flagship car, it would have saved me a lot of heartache.

Its not officially for sale. I made an offer half joking but now I am thinking I might buy it if the engine is tight and its a clean as I "think" it is. I still need to see pictures of it before I go any further.
