First day Out in 10AE!! But need some help!!

well today was the first day out in the AE after the rebuild. The car runs great, everything is solid. However this morning when i turned the car off to put gas in it, i tried to start it back over and it wouldnt. The motor was flooded. I Called a buddy of mine that did like 90% of the rebuild for me, and he was saying that he thinks its a leaky injector.. Which could make sense. But if the motor is cold it will start right up.. What do you guys think?? any input is appreciated , thanks!

well depending mileage on the rebuild it might be because the compression is still low and may need a few more miles to build up compression.

i hate to say it, but do a compression test. As you've rebuilt the motor it will slowly build compression over time as it breaks in, however poor hot starting is usually can be a sign of a compression issue. it could be a leaky injector too or really 1000 different things, even a fuel pump issue if the fuel level got really low, the pump got hot and then you put cold fuel back in.

yea , i have a buddy that told me now that he thinks its def. the compression... because i only have about 10 miles on the car so i knew i didnt have full compression.. but didnt think it would effect the starting that much , and to flood alot???

Was the car up to temp when you shut it off? or did you leave your house and stop at the gas station?
