My gauges Rpm and Mph dont work can n e one help me???

Both of my gauges don't work the mph goes up and down like crazy...can anybody please help me with this problem??

Are you saying the tachometer is dead and the speedometer is just wildly fluctuating?

Is your tach cable in one piece?

Check the cable where it enters the tranny. Could be loose or out. Otherwise, I would assume your cable is broken.

FC tach works off Secondary coil. There is a wiring diagram in the FSM. The FSM is available online in Pdf form.

FC Speedo works off a speedo cable from the tranny. If it has a evil kink in it, or is very 'dry' inside, it will fluctuate. I usually disconnect it at the Speedo and spray some tri-flo into the cable.
