Hey whats up this is Josh (AuxOne) inviting you to the first Ocean City, MD MAZDA MEGA MEET!
The last weekend in May or the First weekend of June 100+ mazda cars (I hope) to rain down upon Ocean City and take it by storm!
It will be one of the 2 days and it would be a 2 day thing. Not sure what weekend would be the best but as soon as I am done scouting for the place in OC to have it I will confirm a date within the next month or so.

Also there will either be a $10 or $20 cover charge PER vehicle. This will cover food/soda and help pay for the expenses needed to setup/run this meet. This will be determined when the meeting place has been found and secured. The cover can be payed in cash upon arriving at the meet or prepay via paypal which you will receive a printable ticket that you MUST bring with you. I will not accept prepayment of the cover charge until everything is set in stone and we have the location / permits / sponsors in place.

- Radio Station sponsored for music / prizes ( in the works with 93.5 The Beach ) ( hopefully free :P )

Talking to Radio Stations & Companies for sponsorships for this meet to make it the best meet the Mid-Atlantic region has ever pulled off.

This is a Mazda wide meet meaning ANY type of Mazda is welcome. Bring friends of a different manufacturer if they want to come but only Mazdas will be able to collect prizes in the Car Show.

As time progress's and gets closer to the meet date more information will be posted regarding the Meeting Place, Prices of Hotel/Motel, and the sponsorship requests.

I need help finding a place in OC to hold this. I have called the Outlets and they are debating on whether or not to let us in on the 2 weekends I want because they have their own car show(s) they hold the same weekend! So we may have to bump this to June 9th/10th or June 16th/17th. If we get on private land like The Outlets or a Stores parking lot we don't need a permit but if we use City owned property I will have to get a permit. I called the City of OC and they aren't sure where it could be held outside of their Convention Center which is by the way BOOKED!

If anyone wants to come on Friday I have 2 rooms in my house and a living room (floor) heh. Some can crash here and make the trip to OC from here on Saturday morning. PM me for my cell # if you want to talk about this option for the out of staters.

 

Good luck with the organization, it'll be a bitch. I'll come however if I'm free that weekend.

 

Yea, its gonna be hard. But i will be there for sure. You should call a hotel, and get a price if we but a certain amount of rooms, and do something like that. I think it would be cool on the nights to just cruise around, kinda like at h20 with the vw, everyone just drives around and hangs out. Good luck

 

i am waiting on Sheraton Hotel to call me back today or tomorrow and Splash Mountain as well

talked to the City of OC and they want crazy amounts of Info and money to approve the event but still are not sure where they would be able to house 100 - 150+ cars

 

Depends on the day and if my car is running. I am always down with an OC trip. My friend has a 3 with a little work, ill see if he wants to roll as well.

i wanted to do it last week of may - the city of OC said May 12th would be easier since its not so busy then.. not sure im waiting on the Sheraton in OC to call me back if they call me back I will probably be posting a Definate date then.

So the 2nd/3rd right? I got to make it to the MD BBQ on the 2nd... Maybe I will make it up on the 3rd. Ocean Downs is a nice place though, I am always there in September for the VW show.

 

yeah i dunno whats gonna happen on the 3rd cause most everything will be on the 2nd .. i think most will probably stay overnight and then meet up again at ocean downs then say their goodbyes and things.

well my meet is a 2 day event so maybe yall can go to the bbq on the 2nd and go from there Caravan all the rx-7s to OC that would be bad *** imo

 

It would be cool to caravan down to oc for it.Gspec-7 you have never been to the Bbq-so you have no idea ,hot women,free food,free drinks, FREE BEER,Dyno on hand,xbox 360 game tent--Oh and free Beer--

The 7s will be in maryland alright,but since you decided to have it the same weekend as the bbq,they may not be at the beach!

ok went to Ocean Downs today and the date is set June 2nd / 3rd - for a two day event. What I am hoping is maybe the RX7 crew could caravan down to our mega meet either the night of the 2nd after your meet or come down on the 3rd for a noon start time. If alof of you will caravan down on the 3rd for the noon meet I will hold judgin cars and all that till the 3rd so yall can participate in that and we can do another cruise to the beach when we leave Ocean Downs hang out at the beach in Ocean City the rest of the day and leave at will...
