Added a sponsor today! - Road Magnet - http://www.RoadMagnet.com

This company will be using my car (2005 Mazda 3s) March 2nd - March 5th to produce a custom set of lowering springs and they need other cars RX8, RX7, Protege, ect... email me josh@auxone.com if you are interested in leaving your car with them for a weekend to create the set for your vehicle. You will receive a free set of springs once the desired height/performance of the spring is attained. When leaving the shop the day of the newly fitted springs you will have unpainted steele springs so you can get a feel for them and provide feedback to the company to adjust and perfect them for mass production. Once the springs are perfected and given the go ahead they will produce them and then either send you the finished set to replace the steele prototypes with or you can take your car back to them and they can do it for you free of course. Email me if your interested in loaning your car.

Welcome Road Magnet to the 2007 Mazda Mega Meet & Car Show!

Some people are asking me about quality of the work this company does. They sponsor Team Lexus ( www.TeamLexus.com ) which are multimillion dollar race teams so if they are good enough to do them they are definitely good enough for us

Road Magnet is also Kirk-Habicht Springs - Check out www.TeamLexus.com and click on Car Data @ the top of the website and then read the specs of the car they race you will see that they use Kirk-habicht Springs ( Road Magnet )

well theres definatley not much by way of rx7s down here, however, i did used to work a pohanka mazda (local dealer in salisbury) and we may be able to get some interest out of them to bring down some new models for display the crappy part is they are no longer a mazdaspeed dealer so it would be the plain line-up. i may also be able to get preston mazda in and they are a mazdaspeed dealer. not sure what else they would offer. i dont have a whole lot of time to do a bunch of leg work cause we re busy as hell at the shop but if you print up flyers im sure we could get some out around here. if theres anything you can think of that i can help with just pm me... ill check back here from time to time as well.

pohanka is infact a speed dealer and the only dealer that can do anything for the show since that is there area. i have contacted chris in marketing there and he pretty much wants me to write an essay on why they should sponsor an all mazda carshow so since im not good at writing they may never show. i already told him what i needed, whats goin on, where to find all the info, but he wants more information then i have, ie.. exact number of attendees ect.. but if you wanna talk to em again ide appreciate it maybe if enough people ask them to sponsor the show they might just give in. kinda sad when you have 2 other dealerships that want to sponsor the show but cant because of mazda rules about territory

ok well i ll talk to chris. ive known him and his wife for awhile cant say itll help but ill see what i can do. the information he wants is pretty stanard. before i went there to work id had dealings with them for a few events that i was part of. i can write the essay this weekend if youd like. id need some info on an attendance projection and other sponsors...ill think about it more when i get home from work this evening and see what i can throw together.

as far as them being a mazdaspeed dealer i know when i left they did not do anything mazdaspeed anymore. we had a few models on the lot once they were gone that was it and that we were no longer dealing with them. after i had left i sent a few people in that were interested in the mazdaspeed 6 and thats what they told them also but its all hear say at this point... just shows what i know...i was just a tech....always on the bottom of the totum ploe...lol.

there was a quote by someone else about what I said a few posts ago here is what I said -

to them it looked like i was talking about me making money at the event which is not my goal here is my responce just to clarify if anyone cares .

IF there is a profit made @ the show there is already a plan for which the people in the car show will benefit from but the only people that know what that plan is are the sponsors and myself.

you can still come and please dont try and make it look like this show is to make money because its not it was only supposed to be a meet but I figured ide make it interesting and call it a show and get everyone involved. would still like to meet you and sorry for any bad blood you might have with me. i wish our shows where not the same day because I really wanted to come to yours maybe next year we can coordinate so yours is one week and mines the next as i plan to do this again every year. This way there is no conflict on anyones schedule.
hope everyone doesnt mind spending money with the vendors as thats why they are there to make money my intention is to bring all mazda enthusiasts together to let everyone meet who they talk to everyday via the internet. These forums give us a great place to make friends and discuss our cars and get parts/upgrades alot cheaper.. Car shows and Meets only add to the excitement and thats my goal to get as many Mazda Enthusiasts in one spot to show off what they have done in the Real Life ( offline ) and maybe get tips/tricks from other owners about how to do things to your car that you might not of known. It will also give you a chance to create friendships and contacts for any future projects you might have with your vehicle that you may need help with. Again sorry for any discrepincy my previous post might of had with anyone decision to come to the show.

now that outta the way who else is comin!!! heh

added a second sponsor yesterday ( SpeedCircuit.net ) which will be sponsoring the Contest: Best Engine Modification with a trophie for 1st and 2nd place + gift certificates to their website for Performance Parts!

----

Road Manget ( the first sponsor ) should be done with creating lowering springs for my 05 Mazda 3 on Monday so as soon as I get it back I will be handing my car over to several pro race car drivers here in the local area to me to have them take it out on these nice windy backroads to give the new springs a run to see if they need to be adjusted as these will be Prototypes and feedback has to be given to Road Magnet to create the final product!

ok so the first dynapack dyno guy fell through cause he wanted way too much to come to the event.. HOWEVER I found someone else that is getting numbers together and will probably come

so i am trying to make it so he charges $40 per pull with a 2 pull minimum being $80 per vehicle

the dyno machine can get about 25 cars on it in a 8 - 10 hour period with a 15 minute setup / dismount from the machine for each pull so this equates to $2000 for him if 25 people run on it.

now my theory is if he agrees to the $40 per pull @ a 2 pull minimum then I would have the people that will be using the dyno machine PREPAY him so he will get the money directly and it not go through anyone else. the person providing the dynapack is a business which IMO makes him trustworthy enough to do the prepay option. The order of people that will get on the dyno machine will go in the order of prepayment and time of arrival to the show. So how many people would be willing to prepay $80.00 to see how much horsepower / torque your car has with your modified or unmodified car? I need to shoot him some numbers ASAP to guarantee his attendance! thanks !!!

Added SpeedCircuit.net as a sponsor as well. They will be sponsoring one of the judged contests.

Added The Speed Shop of Selbyville, Delaware to the list of Sponsors. They will be giving out 1 hour free on their Dyno located @ their shop in Selbyville, DE as a prize for one of the judged contests. They will also be handing out free stuff which is to be determined at a later date. Visit their website @ www.SpeedShopDE.com

i was wondering if its ok to bring a tent and table for NJRA if they go. I can prolly get some of our sponcers/vendors to come out. Basically just representing NJRA. Prolly get a FC Drag Car and FD Drag Car to show, plus 2 3-rotor cars. Ill see what i can do to get everyone to go!
