Meet spots near Manhattan?!
Meet spots near Manhattan?!
Hi, Im Pete Andruskiewicz, and I am the president of the Cooper Union Formula SAE team. (Slightly outdated, due to finals) Information and pictures of our car can be found at www.coopermotorsports.org.
Formula SAE is a design competition that has students from colleges around the world compete to design, build, and fund an open-wheeled, 600cc miniature F-1 style car to compete in an autocross environment. This is the first year that Cooper Union has built a car for the FSAE competition, and we are ready to begin testing before heading off to michigan to compete.
As i'm sure most of you know, its very hard to find a parking space in NYC, let alone enough room to test a race car. If anyone knows of a good location (such as a large parking lot, something paved etc) in or near NYC that we could get permission to shake down, test, tune the engine and suspension, and get a feel for the car, we would be very grateful. We would work around your or the owners schedule, and will be respectful of the property (besides laying a bit of rubber
) We would like to be testing from May 5th through May 10th.
If you have any ideas suggestions, please post them here, or email me directly at andrus@cooper.edu. Thank you very much!
Pete
