Ragtop replacement

OK, who's the guy on here who gave me the name of MOSLER UPHOLSTERY for top replacement (silver 2nd gen)? Did you actually get your top replaced? Just curious how/if it turned out...
Mine has gotten SO BAD. I've taken to putting the cover over the car pretty much every night just to keep the interior dry...

I'm down for a fudds meet sometime soon. Next weekend maybe? Anyone?

I just got the new tires mounted and balanced for my rx7, so now the only thing left to do is set the timing (which requires sanding rust off the e-shaft pulley so I can see the timing marks), and tune the MS. So we'll have another 7 at the meet finally, if there is one.

If you'd starting selling S5 TII megasquirts you would see more 7s at the meet. =P

awesome.

I have my TII project that I've been working on since last January that still isn't on the road. I bought a haltech for it originally but when I found out my engine was already blown I sold the haltech to get some money together for another engine.

Now I just need to learn not to buy engines "as is". The latest JDM import also has no compression on the rear rotor. I'm hoping to get it rebuilt before March. What kind of porting work I get done will depend on what computer I'll be running.

I'm gonna be putting a clutch in in the "inherited" '90 GXL from my daughter, and it's been sitting for a while, so I might be able to look you all up over the holidays. A drive from DE will blow it out - it's been sitting for a month or so.

that was cost of replacing both rear shocks, new clutch/pressureplate, new aluminum flywheel, cleaning up transmission from flywheel damage and replacing brake lines all for about 1500

then theres the 25+ hours of labor at 90 bucks

hes gonna work the numbers a bit as a military discount but its expensive.
all this work was to get it to pass state inspection. car runs SOOO nice right now.

most of the work is listed as 0.8 hours each, longes being fully rebuilding the transmission to clean out all the metal shavings from the clutch/flywheel at 6.8 hours.

Mechanics are flat-rate too... they get paid for what the job is rated, not how long it actually takes them to do the work.

yeah, I know, which is why I was confused as to how it came out to that high, but if he took apart the tranny I can almost see that.
