Maryland guys!
i do daily drive it. its just these 300+ mile trips to salisbury that i refuse to do every weekend with the fd especially since the corolla gets 40-45mpg. and i really dont like offroading(farm) the FD either! you could say that my corolla is a weekend+tuesdaynight warrior!
except for yours, you cant really say the others are daily drivers, they sit broken more than they move!

my car was pretty good untill the turbo blew
...
btw, I'm buying a stock turbo and shoving it in cause I don't want to deal with this hybrid one right now... I'm just going to put it in later when I have a big intercooler.

noclutch powershifting == bad
making sure things just slip a l'il bit == good
by the way, an easy way to learn your clutch is to use the clutch on very steep hills to back down and drive up the hill, stopping a few times on the way down and on the way back up... get a new clutch afterwards, but you'll know how far to push the pedal to just get the clutch to slip that l'il bit that is necessary.

dude...you can bounce the clutch in my car like you would bop someone on the head.....beyond that...its learning the angle to just slam the shifter to get it straight into the next gear
i even learned the angle to slam it from 5th to 4th almost instantly.
3 ->4th in my car actually doesnt need the clutch at all if you do it fast enough...but i use it anyway
yeh... that's how my jetta was as well... too bad the cheap-*** firewall didn't hold up too well to stomp on the clutch+brake stops and full throttle as fast as my foot could jam the pedal into the floor starts.
I dont think you have to bump this thread.
I'm sure half the people that post on it look for it by name.
And theres prolly a billion NE people who ignore it cuz they have no clue what most of us are going on about :-p

Seeing how i'll be unemployed in the near future, maybe i'll show up to help anytime after Friday.... although I still wouldn't trust my Honda to drive me anywhere else but work and home if my life depended on it right now.... >_<
