Good point cosmicbang, i kinda neglected to mention depending on your AFC Andrews AFB or Warfield ANGB might be better for ya. We've got A-10's and C-130's at Warfield, and Andrews has F-16's and some of the other missions that cosmicbang mentioned - Definetly look into them =)

Guard is so friendly to people going to school, they practically throw money at you for school. And 1 weekend a month, and 2 weeks in the summer is NOTHING.

It depends on your particular leaders, but most of the time they actually bend over backwards for you, and the fringe benefits are pretty good. I wouldn't worry too much about the 6 years; it's really not like active duty in that regard. I have been full-time for some short periods, but prefer just weekends or at most a couple months at a time. it's nice to have the the variety of doing something different and seeing different people other than your regular civilian job.

NO engine as in chassis+drivetrain only or NO engine as in chassis+drivetrain+blown engine? Really, I prefer one with a motor but depending on how easily I can get the parts up here I'll consider no engine. PM me and let me know how much you want for em.

13BeastREW - I'm over in N. Va. and have a 86 that's in good working order. 168k motor, smokes on startup but runs/drives well, missing radio and a few other dash components. My intention was to strip it and build it into a race car, but I'm not sure I've got the time and dedication at the moment. It's got a full racing exhaust (racing header, no cat, SS exhaust) so it's no where near emissions legal. I'll sell it for $1750 with the exhaust, $1100 with nothing but a stock header. I've also got a spare manual steering rack, alternator, and a few misc parts to go with it.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll give you more details.

Green and one of a kind, the way I see it. You need to see it up close -- it was a VERY well done paint job. Alas, I can't take credit for the color. A friend of mine chose it before I bought the car. We were all suspicious of his color choice until we actually saw it. Given the choice between my old red FD and my new green FD, I'll take the green anyday.

No engine, as in, the engine is out of the car and going into a different car

brad's allready sold both STI tranny's he had, and one of the STI engines. Still has one STI engine. The 3-4 Turbo II engines he has in his garage are in pieces and are all blown. He uses them for parts, so i doubt they are in any condition to sell...what's left of them. He said he'll be using some parts from them to get my car back together too.

blown motors are not complete motors either. if a piece is broken or needs to be replaced it might as well not exist.

it might be cheaper just to find a car that has a blown motor though instead of a chassis and then searching for a motor.

for the record...my supra doesnt like autocrossing :-p

or flying off the road...falling 2 feet into a mud puddle..then ramming up on a mud bank just shy of nailing a tree at 15 MPH

and word of advise...GET ROAD FLARES AND SAFETY GLOW STICKS FOR YOURT CAR.
(and tow rope)

and for the record....i HIGHLY doubt an RX-7 could have walked away from this with the minimal amount of damage i suffered in my car.

i SLIGHTLY bent the front airdam, bent the bottom plastic grill (easily replaceable), and smashed the lenses off my foglights. car drives fine still...just very muddy underneath and in the engine bay since i took the underbody cover off...i might put it back on after this.
