I have organized the information in this thread into a spreadsheet sorted by state.

If I ever find the time I am going to call all of these numbers, list if they are still in service, ask if they still work on 7's, what generations, and what level of work, but... I don't have that kind of time just now.

I do have the websites listed as Y for yes it loads, or N for no longer a website where applicable.

 

I just want to say the mechanics at T & R Racing got a 10/10 from me for the excellent job they did on my car and for all the advice and helpful information that was given to me, they took the car for a run and gave me a complete list of everything the car is going to need work on from now till the near future, and they gave me the info in order and in price range just so that i can work with my money range, if your in the NY and need any work on your RX-7 i t recommend seeing this great mechanics....

Thanks for contributing man. I wanted to do the same but lost my motivation. I also wanted people locals to get pics of the shop they visit and write reviews up as well.

I can tell you that IRP is still going strong. They work on all sorts of rx7s but I would say they specialize in Single turbo FDs. They also have done LSx swaps. They are busy which is always a good sign!

Any recommendations on a good Rotary shop in the Philly area or even Jersey if it's close to Pa? I've got a running rich issue i just can't wrap my head around.

As far as upstate i have heard some of the ford dealers have some left over mazda mechanics that have worked on rx7's. That is what i was told when i went to get parts from the parts place. Should be someone in syracuse that can work on them. If i get a name i will pass it along.

 

I have been out of the game for 5years and refuse to let my projects sit any longer. I am looking for a mechanic that can get my 2FD's running while I work on the third at my pace. I am looking for a serious mechanic. The mechanics list here in the thread was started in 2002...kontakt created a spreadsheet but some of the shops on the list no longer exist. Can someone recommend a serious FD, rotorhead mechanic and shop that has rotors for white blood cells..lol

*Doesn't work on RX-7's much anymore, but if you're looking to have a rollcage fabricated, a car built for road course racing, or your suspension tuned/dialed in for the track/strip, he's definitely the guy to go to in CT.

for us V8 Rx7 guys Josh (horsepoweraddicts) is the best tuner in Delaware, go ask anyone in the state then go to the "real tuner shop" Fran iirc and the mechs will tell you to go to josh's shop. just thought Id put it up here. he is found at horsepoweraddicts.net

Mike Quinn recently rebuilt my 13b 1988 convertible N/A. AND did the front wheel bearings and brakes all around. Good mechanic, rotor nut, great communications and fair pricing. Gets a solid recommendation from me!
