A BBQ would be good - my place lacks supple parking for everyone, but there are plenty of good places to meet. I know HOOTERS in fairfax is a popular "motor head" hangout. Jeep clubs, 240 clubs, etc all seem to meet their from time to time. Maybe we should do a rotary meetup there.

I would recommend a location with a larger parking lot then hooters in FFX. Also maybe somthin a little farther away from fairfax city.

Only place i can think off the top of my head that has a big parking lot is Potomac Mills Mall just b/c i work at the mall. Im sure the security guys would give us trouble if we were out there reving our engines and doing burnouts. Dont see a problem if we r civil though.

I'm not going to Hooters. Tysons has a big parking lot, esp. on the top floors of their parking decks.

That sounds like a good idea if it gets a lil warmer.

Went and looked it up since I wasn't sure -- 21+ or over 25 for guardian.

If anyone could think of a location near some back road twisties that would be perfect. I'm sure there are some fun roads by potomac mills. We could even go by malloy and leave a thank you for Ray.

Woodbridge is a bit far south.

No need for extra room the Friday CF meet in Dulles has plenty of spaces. BK in Manassas on Saturdays is a little diffrent, not many imports show until after 4pm.

Good luck going early and parking near some six figure muscle cars , the old basterds will love ya.

Not sure which 2nd level you mean, but I meant that you have to be 21 to get in unless you are with someone who is 25 or older... Sorry if that's what you were saying...tired...

Yea i understood that i couldnt get in without someone that was 25+ but my gf confused me. I thought the one in Maryland has multiple levels like the one she used to go to back in Kansas City. I would say that we could all get together around my house. I live right behind a school and there is plenty of space in the bus circle but i would be down for anywhere really.

I'd be interested in that too. I like the idea of dropping by Malloy as well...

fonzi581, as I mentioned earlier, the RX-7 Club of Washington is now called the Mazda Sportscar Club of Washington (www.mscw.com). They meet regularly on the first Wednesday of every month at the Tysons Corner Fuddruckers.

Yea - Tysons would be good. Its close for me, and like you said Ramy, the Mazda club meets there already so I'm sure they wouldnt have too much of an issue.

My main issue is the TIMING. 5 - 7 on a weekDAY, in Tysons, is the worst traffic disaster known to man lol.

Good point just about the majority of us are here and its way to cold out to meet.

I dont get the Dave & Busters thing ? its just a Chuky E Cheese's with beer. And if your so desperate to get inside go get a fake id. Hopefully when ever you are legal it will be the last place you will hang out.

Check out some places in DC , they have some great under 21 shows at the 9.30 club , great music no video games and plenty of chicks.

As for car clubs, the DC is a good one and when the weather breaks you will find plenty of threads for local gatherings here. We dont meet as a groups as often as the MD contention but they are a strange crew .... " ***** out"

Nick, don't even play. You haven't even BEEN HERE for like what...3 summers? lol.

Andrew, Dave & Busters is still lots of fun for us immature guys who like to play video games I know I enjoy it!

As for places like the 9:30 Club, you'd be INSANE to try and have an FD meet in that area. I know...Howard University Hospital (where I'm at) is at the end of the same street. This is for a meet/cruise, not what you like to do in your own spare time

As for local gatherings, save for the Chick Filet meets (with a whopping 2 or 3 FDs and a few FCs & FBs) I think our area is pitiful when it comes to meets. We have the fourth LARGEST concentration of FDs by state in the US, and can't muster a handful at the one meet in a blue moon. :shakes head: The last *sizeable* meet (not an event like Rotorfest or the MD BBQ) where a rack of FDs came out was FD3SBoost's meet back in '03 or somethin lol. Other than that, it's been just scratchin by w/ a car here or there from what I've seen.

LOL, I did'nt say meet up in DC Ramy. I would'nt make it a block before I would either bottom out or get pulled over by a DC cop. It was a general suggestion for someone new to town .

As for the CF meets I recall several times we had five or more FD's and equal amount of FC's and one or two FB's. The monthly gathering that used to be in Fairfax migrated to the CF friday night gatherings. For imports its pretty good, but that tends to be as it gets later 8pm. From 5-8 the majority are classic cars, but alot more imports. Seems most of us show up a diffrent times , but the numbers are good.

The DC club has the best concentration of FD's but Tysons is a pain in the *** like you mentioned.
