After almost a year long hiatus from the RX7 scene, I'm slowly working my way in. Most of you probably don't know/remember me, so this thread is directed to the old school heads that I know. To recap, I blew my motor last year, the day AFTER RotorFest. The whole situation made me rethink as to where I was placing my money. I decided to take a break from the car; I even brieftly entertained the idea of selling it. Now that I'm working at a steady job, the new motor/turbo (GT3540 got chunked when 4 seals decided to pay it a visit) will be in before RotorFest this year (almost 1 year since the car was back on the road). I'm looking forward to seeing old faces in the crowd, as well as some new ones.

LoL .. sad part is, I have yet to touch the car since I blew the motor and pulled it out. It's been sitting under a cover in the garage.

Not much has changed in a year.

 

being that the car has been sitting, nothing much has changed. once the car is running again, and there is time, ill splurge. but there really isnt much left to mod on the car besides brakes, seats? mebbe ill get a new hood? LoL

 

if you get a new hood I will buy your old one!!!

I have a story of my own I am no longer living in TNeck NJ I have relocated to Cape Coral Fl. I finally blew my motor , a relative of mine did it but it was due. The car has been in the shop 4 about 2 months. I cannnot express how I will miss ROTORFEST 4 the first time but it will give another 2nd genner a chance to shine.The motor is ported & the guy has worked his magic by using the microtech to run all functions that the stock ECU was doing.
Some members will remember me from the Airplane surface treatment (wax) I use to peddle @ the shows, others will remember me from the wicked brave blue T2 that won COY 4 2002 (fc3s.org) others will remember my tags IXLR82 (NJ) my FL tags now reads TO XLR8. I will miss all the rex fans I have made over the years.
