VA HyperFest

Is anyone going to this? It coming up this weekend @ Summitpoint. Also if you have gone in the past is it worth paying the 40 bucks and driving on the Jefferson Circuit, and is the event even worth going too?

Not sure how long the sessions are, somebody said 20 minutes of track time with an in structor in the car + the classroom time.

I have never been before, but I had my old rx7 out on the jefferson circuit with the mazda club years ago and it was a blast. 20 minutes will get you a bunch of laps and it worth 40 bucks to me. After my session I'll just be chilling + drinking beer.

Hyperfest is worth going to. There's a ton of things going on that weekend. Hyperdrives are 20 minute sessions on the Jefferson Circuit with an instructor and a single classroom session prior to going on-track. It's a good way to get your feet wet. The Jefferson Circuit is small, only 1 mile long and only a handful of turns, but you'll get a feel for what it's like. There will be NASA racing and HPDE on the main circuit and Drifting on Shenandoah all weekend as well as lots of other stuff going on.

So it is two days...

The website makes it look like it's only one day.

The Hyperfest event is only one day with visitor camping allowed Saturday night. The NASA track event that underpins the event runs all day Sunday as well and racers will be camping Friday night.

Yea, Jefferson. They also run the Hyperdrives there (separately).

Uh. There was a call for BSR folks to give them, but I don't think I'll bother for the JC.

I thought it might be fun to give some on the big track, but the JC not so much.
