Now to get my hands on some AD08s, brakes, tow hooks, and racing gear. So excited! I'm glad I finally have a good excuse to get rid of my monstrous Escta Supras.

 

Has anyone looked into or found a good deal on a hotel in the area? Anyone interested in splitting a room (with me and possibly some friends on the floor)?

 

^I got an e-mail regarding the event. There were 2 hotels in the area that said they had worked out a deal for us. I gotta see if a friend wants to go, otherwise I'll be interested in sharing a room for Friday night also.

I have a set of 16" BF Goodrich R1's if anyone is interested. Not very wide, but way stickier than any street tire.

 

Hey everyone, this may be a stupid question, but i'm figured i'd better check.

I have toyo R888's on the back because i got a crazy good deal on the size for the year (someone had mounted them, then sold their rims and they didnt fit their new rims). But my fronts are a different brand.

Now this is my first event, so i probably won't be able to drive the car to its limits (obviously), so will i be ok with different tires on the front than the rear?

 

I can't believe I'm missing this, it's basically an RX-7 track day. So disappointing.

 

If you have street tires up front you are going to get some serious understeer. What are the other tires?

 

If I can still get into this I really want to, I just need to find a megasquirt tuner in monticello NY anyone know one? Besides a tune my Fc is ready to go

 

Anyone interested in sharing a room? I haven't booked on yet (I hope they are still available). I am going to be driving up friday and staying over that night. At least that is the plan.

yea, I was there last year in September for the full course. I gotta drop my car down an inch or two it looked like a suv next to your cars.
