Just thought I'd throw this around

Is anyone looking for a S5 convert for a winter project ???
I have run out of time on this and am simply burned out . I have a 89 S5 white vert with a rebuilt motor in it with less than 100 miles on it . The motor is real strong and is ready to go . I have new interrior carpet 2/3's installed , just needs to be finished up .
The AC and power steering need to be hooked up ( which I have )
The interrior needs to a good cleaning , but everything works and looks great
The convert top does have 2 small holes near the rain buckets but should be an easy repair .
I was trying to finish it up and was going to ask $4800.00 for it in the trading post which Im sure I could have gotten , but since I had my kid , my free time has just disapeared and i have to many projects going . I aslo need to add a deck to the house .

Im asking $3500.00 for it as she sits today . Please pm me if anyone has any questions . I could also send some pics to anyone who is serious about this . I'm hoping someone locally would be interested .

Thanks in advance

Va

Well, we are on track Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. Roadracers just change tires when it rains....

It is only supposed to rain Friday up there (While I drive up there). It is supposed to be dry Saturday and Sunday. We'll see. It ain't like it used to be in the old days when the only paved place at the track was the track itself. Now most of the roads around the track are paved, and the paddock is mostly paved and with EZ-up tents everywhere.... There is no real issue.

At Mom's competition license school at SP, it rained, snowed, sleeted, and even had some small hail. Finally in the last session on Sunday it was dry.

You learn more about driving in the rain than you do in the dry. All those sudden movements of the pedals and steering wheel get amplified and some can reach out and bite you. It is a blast driving in the rain. But it is easier to hurt the car.

Today at the track went ok. Steve drove pretty good. There were few incidents. One Miata wrecked pretty bad in the very first session. What a way to screw up a weekend. I found a couple of problems with Steve's car that could have lead to serious incidents. I am glad I found them. The weather today was strange... it rained, was sunny, calm, extremely windy, cold, warm, etc... everything. At one point it was bright sunny (where you needed sunglasses) and warm enough that I took my jacket off, was raining, with ice in the rain..... All at the same time.....

I got back from Summit Point. It was a successful weekend for us. Weather on Sunday was pretty good. Steve did what he was supposed to this weekend. He kept the car on the track and made all of the laps of the weekend. Here are my pictures.... Steve is the #96 blue Spec RX7.

http://racecarstuff.com/photos/main.php?g2_itemId=3622

There are also some other Spec RX7's and a few other cars.

Well, hello people!!

I just upgraded to GSLSE suspension on my 79. I was messing around with my buddy since he was taunting me on his 85 GSL and he blew his front rotor trying to keep up. Looks like we are going 13B with his now mandatory. (Hopefully he will keep up with mine). 12A cars, 13B cars and lightly modded T2 beware. The Yellow 79 will get you. Just ask him, the Volkswagen GTI, Ols 442, Silver RX-8 and a few others. There is something about this engine I have that hauls some serious ***!!!!!!!!

Here is a pic of some activity today!!!!!!!!!

They probably should of have put different colored people since Puerto Rico doesn't really have a "color". We are Indian, Spanish, Black, European and even oriental.

I have cousins who are white, blonde, blue eyed and I have other cousins that are really dark skin. We all are one big happy family. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I know this is a real long shot but I needed to see if anyone locally has any adjusters and e-brake levers that go inside the rear drum on a RX4. Mainly the right (passager) side. First gen won't work as I just found out, but I'm sure a Cosmo and/or a RX3/2 will. If anyone has them or know of someone that does, I interested in them.

Which first gen RX7 did you look at? The 79-80 are different than the 81-85's. The 79-80 RX7 brakes might work.... I was around some RX3 people this weekend, if I had known.
