Really? Care to rent it and the software out for a bit? I think I'm going to have to adjust the timing and the fuel maps just a bit.

Calvin, Bring my T- shirt if you come And I need some instructin also if So bring your helment you up to it.

Sup, guys
Here is my report.
Well the weather sucked. Im in group 2 so on sunday I run from 10 to 11 Sat I riun 9 to 10 and 1:30 to 2 We're on the patriot corse so as soon as you cross the bridge hang a left.

For WILL CALL tix you make a right as you enter , there are signs.

There was a lot of excitement the Grand -Am practice, the stunt bike riders were sick, but the drifters were the most fun with a wet track the were a lot of mishaps, I saw 2 side skirts get left on the side of the track and a lot of plowing. Im still impressed, they just look so on the edge of outta control.

How'ed I do? Well I had the fastest Mazda....... also had the slowest. I was the only Mazda .
I think tomorrow ther will be a miata and an rx8 running.
I came up with a couple of friends that have acura's they were about 3 sec. faster than I was. Our insructions said if we went off track we were done for the day, needless to say I was very conseravitive. I don't think this rule applys tomorrow so we'll see. I think the fastest car was about 6 sec. ahead. WRX all wheel, wet conditions. so its understandable'
Hell there were 2 places wher water was flowing across the road.

Oh I almost forgot there was NO Mazda trailer yesterday, Maybe he will be there tomorrow.
I know my report could have been better but Im exhausted

Cool, I'll give you a call tomorrow. According to Rynberg, I need to retard my timing a bit and richin' up the fuel map a bit at higher RPM's. But Dale Clark says I should be fine. Who do I listen to?? I understand the bare basics, but I'll do some serious studying before I make any major changes to my fuel map. Rynberg is going to send me a map to help me out. I've gotten some conflicting advice: https://www.rx7club.com/power-fc-forum-47/just-installed-my-pfc-584180/
I PM'd Steve Kahn to so hopefully he'll will send me some advice too. Thanks!

thats the thing every car is different, even if you have the same set-up. You need a dyno to tune it properly and a wideband to monitor your AFR's.

Rynberg sent me a modified map for a streetported T-78 FD. The fuel is probably too rich for my car(too rich, what's that?) but the timing is conservative and has better more consistant timing split than the base map.

Do you need to relearn the idle after you load a map?

that set-up is like night and day compare to what you have. that map will not work at all because its tuned for a single turbo with different injector set-up than you.

So guys, my brother just picked up an fd. It's pretty ridiculous, given that he's 3 years younger than me, and while I have a turbo first gen, he now has a pretty nice 3rd gen. Ahh, whatever, now I've just gotta make sure mine's faster! I'm hoping the two of us can make it out to a meetup sometime. Haha, I've been saying I will for awhile, but I'm up in Richmond for school most of the time, and there's always something wrong with my fb. Anyways, hopefully I won't have any excuses in the near future and can hang out...

LOL, Rynberg is now telling to use the ignition maps but find other fuel maps. Way too rich he says. Any idea what the included maps are tuned for? They considerably leaner than the one that Rynberg sent. Well, I'm sure after a bit of reading I can come up with a relative safe map.

you really need a wideband to try out different maps, I don't like messing with things unless I'm 100% sure I know what I'm doing and tuning is something that is learned with experience. If I were you just take the dive and have it tuned by a real tuner because its well worth it and your car will never run better.

GT LIVE report;

Well it was a wet weekend I only got TWO dry track runs all the others the track was wet or muddy (from the drifters).
I fought traction all weekend I ran the boost controller on low (9 psi) except for once. Getting off the curves and on the throttle almost always resulted in the *** end breaking loose. I also didn't break nearly hard enough I was worried about skidding but never did. On the big track at VIR I can get the tires to rub on VERY hard tight turns but It never rubbed once the entire weekend, so I know there was a lot of speed left.

Cars were pitted against cars of the same manufacturer There was only one other mazda there I think I beat him by about 5 seconds he was running a basicly stock MX6 I think he actually got a few dry runs in though.

A win is a win, I won first place. We had the option of letting Tarzan Yamada drive our cars with us in it or out of it, needless to say I declined both.

I did however take them up on a ride in his cyber evo. If you have never seen the cyber evo, it is a fully preped right hand drive race car sporting over 700 hp.
I wish could put into words how it felt. The only thing I could compare it to would be a ride at an amusement park ther are constant G forces from the front and to the sides. It was just incredable. The evo would slide just a bit and then take off like a rocket.
