MD Emissions Stations - MD

Guys, anyone work at an emissions station in central MD? DC/Annapolis areas.

I have to get my test done, but I hate just going to whatever station because you never know what fucktard will be there to mess up your car. I don't want some 350 lbs guy that looks like he just got out of jail squashing my seat bolsters, draggin his dirty feet all over my doorsills, and driving my car at 20 mph over the rollers.

:/

Thanks,
Brian

i didn't have a problem with the Baltimore City location - they had me in and out quickly, the tester was a fellow female car nut, and she didn't drive over the rollers terribly quickly.

I made sure my suspension is slammed on the ground. They won't make it over the rollers without buying me a new oil pan so hopefully they just make with the waiver. Next year it'll be historic anyway.

I went to the emissions station near Derwood, MD. (Rockville/Gaithersburg area) I was the last car through on a Saturday, and I never left my car. I'm not actually sure if they even hooked up the equipment to the car because one of my readings was 0.00 and the other was maybe 10% of allowed value... (This is in an FD.)

If i remember right your car is lowered, you have no problem at all, just say that your car is too low and you want them to sign a paper agreeing to any damages to your underbody/oilpan before you will let them try to take it over the rollers. They will write you a waiver real quick

lowered, aftermarket rims, too small for the person to get into easilly, exotic... there's lots of reasons they'll just give you a waiver. my advice is to get a set of cheap used springs, cut 'em and drive carefully there and back.

My car already has coil overs and rides pretty damn low.

Now the question is...

Do they give you a flat-out waiver, or do they make you take the tailpipe idle and 3,000 rpm test instead?

A flat-out waiver means I don't even have to change my exhaust out

It's flat out dood.

I rolled up to the Emissions station in Annapolis and they just ran out and told me to go into the office, immediately gave me my piece of paper and I was out the door

I last did mine in 06 at Silver Spring. No rollers, just the tailpipe 3,000 RPM idle. I passed amazingly enough with a hollow cats and exhaust leaks at the manifold ... 88 TII.
