Thanks for setting up the cruise Rocky! I think everybody had a great time. The weather def could have been a little better but at least it didn't rain. We will have to do this again next year. I'm glad we decided on the short route b/c I was exhausted on the drive home lol.

Short re-cap for those who couldn't, or failed to make it (Vlad):
IHOP breakfast was awesome and may become a staple for early events. Everyone who showed did so in a very timely manner. A big thanks to everyone for that. However, since we no longer had to meet anyone, we did get a little later start so some of our biker friends could head to a local store for some warmer gear.
We left the lot and (apart from a minor dunce move on my part) found our way down to 211 without any events. On 211 we were able to shuffle around the cars and have fun without any other traffic around. The bikes fell back a bit, due to them cursing the speed and the temperature I'm sure, but they stayed in site and caught us when we got to the single lane portion of 211. The trip up to the top of the mountain was a beautiful ribbon of twisties that made the trip as usual. Once we got to the top, we were covered in fog from the low lying clouds but were assured they'd break by 11. We spent the next hour or so driving Skyline Dr and stopping for scenic vistas and photo-ops. We passed through sunny warm sections and sections with clouds pouring over the mountain. Really cool looking stuff but not the best temperature for our biker friends. Afterward we stopped by a street BBQ stand run by Two Fat Butchers (it is the store's name, not me being mean) for a great meal. Everyone decided that they were happy with the day as is and we all headed our own ways home.
Here is a couple of pictures that I snapped, my phone camera isn't so good when it is cloudy though
Glad your group enjoyed it. The weather was great for me. Sure it could have been clearer, but I was happy with the temperature. Maybe you were driving the wrong kind of vehicle
Sorry we couldn't get our schedules to work out. Hopefully it will next go around. We had talked during lunch about getting a SPK group trip together sometime early May. Keep your eyes on the DC Area thread for updates.
Of course I knew it was you. Pretty funny we happend to meet by chance. How did your event go?

Yea the guys are just a bunch of cruisers. I didn't know there was a giant sign for Skyline Drive so I had to push it to stay within sight of all the cars but not leave the rest of the bikes behind. Once we got into the park it was smooth sailing. I've only had the Harley for maybe a month and absolutely loved it on the cruise. The crotch rocket that was with us was my old bike. If I was on that I would have probably been racing everybody lol.

I had an awesome time. You should bring the SRX7 out, it's cheap track time. $160 for ~7 hours, but it's in sections.
Theo picked up a Spec 7 on Sunday, you should get in touch.

A little bit delayed but just wanted to say I had a great time as well. Thanks Rocky...Social Chair! I know you don't always want to be that guy, but you do a very nice job. I hope nobody minded too much me pushing the speed on some of the very scenic straights on 211. It's so hard for me to resist...although I know I should. I don't like drawing the attention, especially with the ridiculously loud exhaust, but I just love the hard acceleration in that car...and it needs to be opened up once in awhile! But negative thoughts do persist and I have to slow down.
And then we hit the slopes and you see who the real drivers are with their fancy cornering. Gone! I need to hit more auto-x's. And block out images of me careening off over the cliff...
Here are some pics taken very safely.
