Seeing as how I rode my bike in first cruise and brought 4 other bikers with me I doubt we will continue if it rains. Plus FD owners don't like their cars getting wet lol.

 

Ok I'm really wanting to go on this trip, but I'm in the process of getting another 7 and replacing the flywheel/starter and getting a decent suspension for it. Hopefully I'll be able to get it and have it running by the time this cruise comes around, just depends on what the bank says... If so me and my dad will probably be there bright and early.

What kinda bike do you have? My one riding buddy got married, sold his and is joining the air force.... sooo the old girl sits around all sad like.. furthermore i trust my bike on long excursions then the 7.... honda... rotary.... sorry mazda.

 

I have an '06 Harley Sportster. The guys I brought with me rode a Harley Softtail, Dyna Street Bob and a Honda CBR600 (my old bike.) We could always use more guys to be riding. That is the same reason I take my bike on the cruises. It's more comfortable than my '88 vert.

 

Nice.. i have an 07 cbr600.. im holding out faith that the car will still be moving under its own power then. I didnt want to be the only dude maybe showing up on a bike lol....

 

As Rocky has said before, "it's not what you're driving. It is just that you are there hanging out that's important." I wouldn't mind seeing your bike either. Always liked the CBRs. Never cared for the banana seat though.

I'm not going to be able to make it with the FD. It looks like I blew a turbo at the track over the weekend Maybe I'll join the riders.

Have there been a set date yet? & any maryland guys wanna meet at the rest area, right before scaggsville 216 exit. Ill prolly be around 8am. & does anybody have stock seat bolts to bolt down? My seats were soo rusted, im gonna have to cut them off?

It is looking like the 21st, but we may push it up to the 20th the week before if it is going to rain. If it rains both days, we may push it out a week. Right now though, plan for the 21st

I got seat bolts and the ubber rare seatbelt bolts too.

I'm still planning on this trip. However if my speedhut gauges I ordered two weeks ago are not here and installed I will not be going. Plus I have no exhaust at the moment and I'm afraid of tickets with open headers. Got pipe just no mufflers yet.

And just for the fun of it, I would like to know who is bringing a dslr for the shots. Not sure what backdrop is planned but I definitely need a high resolution picture with beautiful scenery to make a poster if my car with.

 

I havn't been to one of these drives yet either, I'm hoping I will be able to make it. Sounds like a ton of fun.

 

FD comes back tomorrow, so if I can get the VA State stuff cleared I will make it.

 

Jack (jl1rx7) usually brings an awesome camera along. I dunno about prints but he always shares the files.

Staged shots are going to be tough, we'll have a few places that we'll have lots of time with (the earlier we get there the better off we'll be). Also, there are a couple of places where I am hoping we can get some bandit shots without causing too much of a stir. I will explain all this further when we meet up for the cruise.

Getting the FD back soon as the guys at First To Win fixed the vacuum leak, which was from the LIM gasket I'm gathering. It just needs to pass emissions now...it's failed twice so far. Not sure if they are heating up that cat enough as it usually does pass.

Saying that...I'm out of town that weekend so will miss the festivities....so have fun everyone!

I'll be there at around 8:30 or so. People shouldn't show up later then 9 and expect to get food from IHOP. They don't have very fast service. For those who cant/wont make it early enough to get IHOP, there is a Dunkin' Donuts in the same parking lot to grab something quick.

As I said, we will be leaving the parking lot at 10:00. We are trying our luck for empty shot locations as it is by pushing the departure time so late. Again, show up EARLY. I want time to describe the route/photo ops to people. If you are not there for the brief, you may get lost.



Duc- Sucks to see you won't be able to make it. There are two more Sunday TnT AutoX events on the schedule for this year Oct 28th and Nov 18th. Hope you can make one. Make sure that car is good and warm before they test it and let me know if you need to borrow a Cat from me. Also, make sure there is no premix in the tank
