Damb emissions!

Well I got my FD emission tested and failed. Got it from California where the last owner made it very clear it would pass as they have the
strictest emission standards.

Anyways, I really don't have 450 to spend for the conditionaly pass and would probably be counter productive regarding the plans i
have for her. Anybody have any suggestions on removing this problem. Anyone know any leanient stations that are rx7 friendly or understand to such situations?

If so please pm me. Much appreciated.

Seb

Slam it to the ground and go 5 mins before they close. Most stations don't want to run your car over the dyno if it's too low. Or... get your engine rebuilt or turbos rebuilt, the reciept for doing so will get you the waiver.

find a shop that will allow you to pay them to pass you. Thats what i did, took a while to find a shop that would do it but they are out there. You could also look into going to a rotary friendly shop and getting a fake reciept to get the waiver. Here in Va the reciept has to be from a certified emissions repair station but i don't know about up there in MD. Good Luck!

run the gas tank dry, stop at a gas station near the emisions place, dump in about a gallon of ethyl alcohol and then put in 1/4 tank of 93 octane (blueskaterboy and I put in V-Power) - then gingerly drive it to emisions place and it will pass with flying colors - then afterwards, go fill up the tank and you are all set.

You won't blow it up unless you do something stupid like go into boost or go WOT.
