CT People chime-in for Oct 8. Bear Mountain Meet

I would like to know who is defiantly going to the <st1:place w:st="on">Bear Mountain</st1:place> meet in upstate NY (---->click here for more info<----) and who would want to caravan there in full force. C’mon, guys and gals we need to represent. This is it for the NYRA and us until next year. The cold is creeping in.

Why not make an effort to hang out and talk to knowledgeable people, learn new things, find that hard to get part, you never know unless you go.

Let us show the NYRA that CT can represent and let the people who do not have an internet connection know about this.

More info on Bear Mountain click ------->here <-------

Print this out and post it where you think a Rotary enthusiast might see it.

<u1:p></u1:p><o:p>

I made this quick, let me know if I made any errors, somethings missing or if it's not a good idea. Up to you.

yeah i was looking it up, its actually shorter for you CT guys to go straight upstate to bear mountain. If you come to queens you will wind up having to pay tolls to get into NYC and then get out of NYC lol .

But the CT guys taht come to NYRA meets always roll deep!

See ya there

2007 Season of NYRA meets is gonnna be SICK!!!!!!!!

A caravan doesn't sound like a bad idea, because most of us don't know how to get there.

Post your name and city in CT so we can figure out where we are going to meet. Eventually we are ending up at John64 Stamford, CT. and he will lead us to Bear Mountain through the back roads. We will have some nice scenery to look at and twisty roads to keep us on our toes.

The caravan is not mandatory you can head up on your own, just let us know that you are coming by adding your name to the list.

1 - chiquirx7 ----------------------------------Norwalk
2 - John64 ----------------------------------- Stamford
3 - Yellow '79 -------------------------------- Bethany
4 - Lil Red Resurected From Dead -------- Norwalk
5 - RDFC3STII----------------------------------Stamford
6 - David with the Rx-2 ----------------------Norwalk chiquirx7 is that his name?
7 - 2wankel ----------------------------------- Norwalk

thanks for the compliment chiquirx7, Jason, and fc3sfever.

Just trying to rally the troops

Its hard to get directions to Bear Mtn cause there is no real address.

Get directions to Exit 19 off the Palisades Interstate parkway. But remember you must pass exit 19 ride that till the highway ends at a roudn about. Make a right to Haverstraw. Go up the hill and make a right at the light. Go up that road and park in parking lot number 2 ($6.00 fee) and go to the right after you enter...

More directions posted on www.NYRotary.com

Very nice work guys. So looks like we are running at least 7 deep. We don't have enough room to meet at my place, but we can meet at the park and ride off of exit 35 on the Merritt. It's on High Ridge Road in Stamford. What time do you guys want to meet up? Jason will be up at the park around 9:00am, we can roll a little later.
My home email is jwalker@stamfordjcc.org or call me 321-8466 (not after 9:00pm, kids need to sleep)

I guess we need to know who is coming with us and what time they can be ready. I don't have a problem with a time others might. How about you chiquirx7? You too John, what would be the ideal time?

I say we meet at 10:00am at the park and ride off exit 35 (high ridge rd) off the merritt parkway. It's a little over an hour drive going the back roads from there.

4-days to go, who else is coming? Anyone from Bridgeport? I'll be picking up my cousin at 8:30-8:45am in Bridgeport. So I can go to Seaside Park where we had the meet. I'll patrol the park, just in case we have stray rotaries about. Then we will head out to chiquirx7 in Norwalk.
