Crazy Rays meet - Sun 24 Sept 2006
Same exit as the Fudds in Columbia, except you take it the opposite direction to Jessup. When it hits Route 1, turn right. Crazy Rays will be a mile or two down the road on the left.
Meet at 10.00. BYOT
Trying to make this a bi-weeekly or monthly thing.

don't you think it's creepy if you see a bunch of guys all ripping the same car apart?
heh
I wish there was a power outlet available. I'd bring my airtools. too bad you can't take your car back there. I'd take my jeep in. and have some 4x4 fun too. Just gotta put a sign in the window *NOT FOR PARTS*

It'll be like locusts swarming...
Can you imagine how fast an engine pull would go if you had a dozen people who knew what they were doing?
I wasn't serious as making it a meet, but I'm going, if anyone else wants to go, join me.
I need a 94-97 Miata tranny.

newer model like FD will go to other junk yards or body shops, instead of crazy rays. crazy rays is a cheap place for cheap parts for cheap cars.

I passed them by because the parts I was looking for were specific to the 2nd gen.
I wonder. Is it possible to put a 1st gen AWD drivetrain and engine into a 2nd gen FWD chassis? This'd also include a auto to manual tranny swap.

I know people have put 2g awd drivetrains in 2g fwd cars, especially the GS-T Spyders that never came in AWD originally. I think grafting a 1g drivetrain in there might be more difficult especially because the whole suspension layout changed so the prop shaft/axles/wheel hubs and stuff are incompatible.
Hrm, I don't know what I'm doing this weekend but maybe I should show up. Any 92.5-94 AWD 1G should have the LSD diff I'm looking for, but 9/10 are NA and if I find an AWD, it's always the 90-92 with the 3-bolt open diff
edit: btw I think the crazy ray's in baltimore right off 895 has a better inventory turnover than does the one in Jessup.

Got the hitch on my Jeep for 20 bucks, and i've pulled my car all the way to florida and back with it. Can't beat that.

How much Wrangler stuff do they have there? I need an entire door for an 05 Wrangler. Pretty much anything from 98-06 fits what I need, as that is the same series. Let me know if they have that stuff there, I need one bad!!!

New stuff is hard to come by at Rays... Though there was a new Focus hatchback and a Ford Five-Hundred there last time. Both were throrughlly gutted.
