Central Virginia Mazda Club - Lynchburg
Central Virginia Mazda Club - Lynchburg
Searching for Mazda fans in and around Lynchburg, Roanoke, Charlottesville and Danville. I'm interested in putting together Mazda owners of all sorts for a few meets/drives a year. Check the website and send an email if you're interested. www.centralvirginiamazdaclub.com or www.thecvmc.com for short.
Our first drive last week on the Blue Ridge Parkway to me through a really wicked Route 58 (west of Lovingston). Perfect curvy roads similar to the Dragon in Tennessee.

That would be amazing! Love the scenery(is that spelled right?) too. I would def be down for a drive/meet. Since i live about 30 mins outside of DC it would be a lil bit of a drive but its not that bad of a drive i dont think. PM me back with any ideas
Sounds good fonzi, check the website and click on the email link, just put in the body of the email "Add me". I'll add you to the group list, then when we're planning something you'll be in the loop.
Sweet. I have been looking for some meets in central VA. I've been in VA for about a year now (from Oregon). Seems like most people are either in North VA, Richmond, or SE VA. Nice to see something going on around Lynchburg.
I might be down for a few meets. Im about 1hr away but only 20 min fro VIR you guys should check it out.
I use to go to meet up with the raliegh group. And I went to a couple Va beach meets
I have 3 A.E.s and one I FC in the middle of a REW swap. Once I get complete Ill be showing her off.

Nice to hear about you guys in the area gsl-se and Johny. Finally someone in Lynchburg too! Johny I'll be down to VIR in December for the Holiday Drive, are you going to that? Maybe we'll bring some rotaries as a group, I know some of the Raliegh gang is coming.

I'll try to hit the VIR thing. I still need to get VA plates and safety inspection. The 7 needs a bit of work before the safety inspection (wipers are on the fritz as an example). I'll be doing some work on the 7 over the winter, so if I miss this meet, I'll catch up with you guys in the spring.
It's some quick notice sure, but you can come watch!

Keep us Richmond guys in mind too! since we're technically central Virginians as well.
My folks live out in Stuarts Draft, the company I work for is based out of Lynchburg, and I've been known to make it to some NASA events at VIR - so I'm often in y'alls area.

Not yet. I'll see if can track them down. I heard that the guy with the FD at work is going to be moving to either France or Germany (we have company locations there) for the next couple years. I'll have to see for sure. There is also a red FB. Don't know the owner and I only see it on a rare occasion in the parking lot. Next time I see it, I'll leave a note or something about the club.
As for my 7, that wasn't me. My car is kind of a maroon color. Haven't driven it in a few months. Need to do some work on it and get it through safety inspection. That will be my winter project.

France and Germany? Must be Areva?
My RX8 is in need of some repair this week, currently at the dealership waiting for a decision to warranty coils and plugs or stick the customer with it! I'll do it myself before I pay them $500 to do it, but that may mean I'll drive the RX7 to Danville.
As soon as I get some business cards made for the club we'll have to have a small gathering just to get them in the hands of a few people. Then you can leave a professional note on their windsheild.

Yep. That's correct. I found out that he has already left. Some business cards would be great. I'll keep a look out for the FB. I have seen a few other FBs in town too. It would be nice to get some of them in our group, too.
A great day down below Danville, VA at the VIR track! Mostly the gang from Raliegh, NC were in attendance. Definately need to plan this one for next year. We ran about 8 laps per session this time (about 20 minutes each).

I've seen a red 2nd gen hatchback and a convertible around town lately. How come no one is on the largest RX7 website? There's even a red 2nd gen for sale at a local small time dealer. They're everywhere!
First official meet coming up! Most likely March 8th (Saturday). We'll start with a gathering at River Ridge Mall then take a drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway. KEEP EYES HERE!!
